I have been sayin landry for a while now, he will be the best player available at our pick and i dont care if we took allen last year. Look at the top secondaries in the league they have 2 good safeties and 2 good corners. Whether or not allen is a safety or not our secondary was raanked in the 20's last season and easily lost us 2 games the jet game with washington on the screen is one right off the top of my head. You want to reach and take a guy who prob shouldnt go til like 15 in brown or you want to take an ed reed , sean taylor cross who would bring a great young face to our secondary for years you decide. I know for me its either one of the top d lineman, quinn, or landry who i want to see taken with our pick i will be pissd off if we take brown. The only way I want to see us take Brown is if we trade down and add picks. We can grab o lineman in the second with our 2 picks. I feel the value is at safety or d line or quinn and thats how we should go. All these people want to reach for Brown when hes not gonna be even close to the best player on he board i rather reach for chris houston at 9 then take brown there. Did you guys see this guys combine #'s he was completly unimpresive he had no explosion, and i could back pedal the 40 faster than he ran it at 5.4 comeon hes not a top 10 pick so can we please stop with it. Hes only a pick if you reach and we dont even know how high the coaching staff is on Alabi.

But we desperately need a Left Tackle now, so Levi Brown would be the better choice, even though Landry probably is the BPA. It is important in the first 2 rounds to draft need, after that draft BPA, then things usually go well.

ya but i aid we grab ol n the second we need gaurds and a left tackle thre will probably be 1 of the top 5 gaurds go in rd 1 we will be able to grab Ol in the seocnd and its not worth reaching for brown in the first

Landry all the way if Quinn inst there.Branch or even Okoye would be nice.Okoye would be perfect in a trade down.I like Eric Wright later or Ginn at #9 also.Anyway we do it we are set up for nice talent with #9 and 2 second rounders.Go Roth,Alabi,Culpepper and both Allens.

agree with you 100 percent i did a mock with us taking wright in the 3d round or us taking jason hi depending on if we sign washington or not.

you guys if we get Brown first, then we can be freed up for Zack Miller and Jason Hill, then come right back to the Oline and get Josh Beekman in the 3rd, that's much better to me. Need plus talent, that's my MO!:cooldude:

If you watched the tape of Levi Brown you would not be saying this, he is straight nasty. Anyways all that matters in a 40 time for Oline is his initial 10 yard explosion that's all end of story.

im not saying hes not good i did watch tape he is a solid player but not worth taking at 9 if we had 15 id say lets get him but im saying theres bette players that could be on the board i mean for all we know landry might not be thre so i dunno but all im sayn is at 9 the BPA is prob gonna b landry and i think that would be a great pick for this franchise. I thik you have to see what you hav in Alabi before you take brown. what you like better.

Landry
Khalil (doubt hes there) or Best corner available
Grubbs
jason hill

Brown
khalil /corner
grubbs
hill

we dont know anything about alabi but for the fins to just let Mcintosh walk im sure they have to think very highly of him and for all we know the texans may reach to take Brown at 8 which would b ludacris becausethey cant protect the QB

That is only in the eye of the beholder. Left Tackle all depends on what Cameron/Houck thinks.

If you play close attention, not only did MIA state that they were amenable to moving Shelton back to LT. But have reported that they think highly of Alabi.

Combine that with the fact that MIA let DMac go. Then only targeted G's Dielman, Steinbach, and Carlisle as OL's of interest...that tells us that MIA's thinktank is that G is the "desperate" need.

It could very well be that MIA sees Shelton and Carey as their starting OT's. With Alabi and Toledo as the young backups.

If MIA wants to keep Shelton at RG, and expressed no interest in L.Davis. Then Levi Brown would be their target. But so far, Mueller has stated that he would not pick a LT at #9, just to pick one if they are not worth the pick.

This makes me think he was talking about Levi Brown. Being that it is common knowledge that Joe Thomas wouldn't be anywhere near the #9 pick.

Just an idea to keep in mind...

MIA "may" have their four OT's on the roster as we speak. The just "may"...

THANK YOU!!!! this is what i have been trying to say we can grab 2 starting o linman in the second rd in gaurds and get a guy like grubbs who should be a first rder but wont because hes a gaurd.

Truth is, we've re-signed Bell, we have Hill, we've signed Worell for depth, and are targeting Hamlin. If we do sign Hamlin, I dont see Landry on MIA's radar. But if we dont...then I can see Landry at #9.

I absolutely agree with you Dolfan. Our two 2nd rounders are perfect for drafting us two talented G/C's. Who knows, Kalil "may" actually still be there at #40 even. But Grubbs, Sears, and Blaylock are other touted G's that may be there at both #40 "and" #60.

Right now, if we assume that Cameron/Houck like our OT's. Well, that means that Shelton, Carey, Alabi, and Toledo are our 4 OT's. That leaves us with Hadnot at either C or RG. We need two G/C's then.

But I still see MIA signing one of the available OL's like Carlisle, Fonoti, or Jacox for depth. We also have this guy named Stephenson we signed from some team's practice squad that plays C.

That FA "depth" OL guy can be either a G/C "or" T. Because Toledo is versatile enough to be a backup G/C too.

So that's why I see.

Levi Brown sounds very possible for us at #9. Especially since MIA has done nothing to replace the OL's we've released. But due to MIA having signed Campbell and the fact that we have Vick....a KR type WR wont be a target for MIA. Or they would've not signed Campbell.

As far as Miller? I'm not sure Cameron is still looking for another TE. Cameron was quoted as saying that he signed Martin to be "a big part of our offense".

That sounds like a statement of a HC who sees Martin as our starting TE.

Remember that Gates was not only a no name when he came out. But he was also an "undrafted" free agent.

Cameron liked Gates because he was an "athletic" pass catcher.

Well, Cameron said that same thing about Martin.

Not saying that a Miller or a Patrick wont be one of MIA's targets. But Im just not too sure it seems like that is what Cameron is doing...
