I'm all for staying at #9 and drafting Levi Brown (LT), then draft Kalil (C) early in the second round and finish the second round with Crosby (K) and end day 1 with Beekman (OG) in the third round. If Crosby value starts to drop, we could always switch and pick Sears (OG) late in the second and Crosby (K) in the third round. This could and should solidify our offensive line problems for years to come, any thoughts?

Spend day 2 filling much need holes for depth on defense (DE, DB, LB), offense (OL, QB, TE, WR, FB) and special teams. I like Kolb, Palmer and Palko on day 2 to compete for the 3rd string QB spot.

I've got a sleeper pick, actually it's not a pick, more of a signing. I'm going to suggest that Miami signs Justin Zwick as a undrafted QB to compete for the 3rd string. Zwick was the starter for OSU, until Troy Smith emerged. Zwick has all the skills, just lacks the mobility that Smith has. Culpepper, Lemon and Draftee or Zwick would be nice.

I would be happy with some of those picks but there's no way we go OL with 3 of our 4 1st day picks. We have needs in too many other areas.

Using a 2nd on Crosby would be incredibly foolish considering we already have 2 kickers on the roster. I'm all for getting rid of Mare but I'd much rather use a 6th or 7th on Justin Medlock, who I think is just as good if not better than Crosby.

:yeahthat:

I highly doubt we go OL in pretty much all day one picks. I wouldn't mind Brown and Kalil if they are worth the picks (and if Kalil makes it that far).

I just feel we have some secondary and receiver needs at the moment.

:yeahthat: I agree, as usual.

I think Houck is satisified going into next season with Alabi at LT. Many of you that are calling for a LT may be surprised by Alabi next year.

Definitely agree with Kahlil in the 2nd.

Im not sure Houck is ever "satisfied" and I am just absolutely surprised anyone, expecially at this point, would think we would rest on the notion of an unproven 3rd year guy especially after last years debacle. I know that they are counting on him making his move this year, im just not so sure you want to leave such a high priority open like that for failure again. I know I wouldnt.

Kalil will go in the first round. I did hear that Mueller thought he was the best Olinemen in this draft period. I think we will be drafting two Olinemen in this draft regardless of spot/draft status.

And how much would you like to wager? We have four first day picks with our glaring holes on OL. This would be pure stupidity.
