but the reality is that we might have too high a draft pic on the 1st round to get either one of them.

How about in the later rounds we draft the kid out of Bama Brodie Croyle?

what do you guys think of this guy he looked very solid this season?

I say if we can't get Cutler he was the next qb i had in mind.. i think we can get him with our 4th rounder.
 
we should draft D.J. Shockley, he's got tons of talent and will be a good NFL QB
 
Cutler's stock is rising fast and if he does good at the combine i think Nick Saban will take him in the 1st round. Saban loves SEC players and Cutler was the SEC offence player of the year. Brodie Croyle really isnt that good he'll probably will be a 3rd/4th rounder. It would be very risky to chance on Cutler being on the board still in the 2nd round, unless we move up to get him.
 
i would love for saban to draft one of the top two guys.
but they probably wont be around by then

If we dont get Cutler then forget about the rest of the QB's in the draft, they all suck.
shockely isnt that good, i can see him getting hurt because hes soooo small.

I'd take Darrel Hackney if we aren't able to/don't draft Cutler.
 
I think Cutler will be available when we draft. If we don't draft a QB at all, then Nick has his mind set on picking up a QB via FA.
 
If Cutler's gone then I'd look at Pinnegar and Olse from UCLA.

Toledo's QB looked real good last night... Bardowski I think it is. He was getting some comparisons to Peyton because of the great play action he sells. Strong arm and the kid can scramble pretty good too. Toledo stomped UTEP. Hope those Bowl pickers are kicking themselves right now because thats the bowl UCF should have been in.
 
I really doubt that Cutler, Leinert, and young will be available for us to get. There are to many teams in the draft that most likely are looking to fiill their needs at quarterback through the draft. If we can't get any of the top 3 then I say we do just look for Croyle in the later rounds. I watched him play and he's a pretty good quarterback.
But we can also get Rivers if we wanted or go after Culepper. I believe we will go after Culpepper because it was up to Leinhen to bring in Frerotte and why wouldn't he want the QB he had when he was with Minnesota? Whatever happens i'm gonna be one pleased fin fan.
 
OR why don't we trade our 1st and Ricky to the Packers who need a runningback and get Matt Leinert/Vince Young at the 3rd spot in the draft. The Texans and 9ers both have no need looking for a qb unless they release Carr. So why not try to move up. I'm high on Williams but I think if it's gonna help us get the quarterback of the future than we have no choice .
