DRAFT DAY THREAD 2025

Well I wasn't alive 53 years ago. I've watched us suck, very closely for 25 years.

See the difference?
Miami’s AFC championship win against the Steelers on January 6,1985, was the first Dolphins game I ever watched and the moment I became a fan. I was a week from turning 6 and all of a sudden I loved the Dolphins, Dan Marino, and football.
Little did I know that would also be the highest I would ever see the Dolphins soar to, even 40 years later.
I missed the best parts of our legacy.

Marino threw one of the most insane passes I've ever seen in that game. It was a pass to Joe Rose for 28 yards. With a defender right in his face, Marino threw an absolute bullet between two defenders that were bracketing Joe Rose into the tightest window you will ever see. I saw a highlight of that throw with the camara view from behind Marino. It was unbelievable.

14. Miami Dolphins

Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee*

With Jalen Ramsey on the trade block, the Dolphins need young defensive backs. McCoy makes plenty of sense here as an active, physical corner. He exhibits great awareness and has a quick read on routes run in his coverage. He had four interceptions and eight pass breakups last season, so the ball skills are there, too. McCoy could be CB1 next year if his game continues to ascend.

McShays 2026 mock lol…they love this McCoy kid to us

13. Miami Dolphins: CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee

McCoy is considered the CB1 in the 2026 class heading into next season. He’s a man-to-man cover corner in Tennessee’s aggressive scheme and recorded four interceptions last season. Corner is still a big hole for Miami with Jalen Ramsey heading out of town, and the team didn’t draft one until Round 5 this year.
