From your old rival the Bills. Front office is high on getting that NEW Franchise LB, and if they are worried he goes to San Fran you may get a call to see if something could be worked out for the Bills to move up.

why move up for a lb? there are plenty of them, willis, the guy from penn state, the 2 studs from fsu and the 2 lb's from florida?

Maybe, but I do not see us dealing with a divisional rival at all. Why help the Jills make their team better???? If anyone in the front office makes a deal with a divisional rival....they need to be....how would Donald Trump say it.....oh yea... "You're Fired!!!".........:sidelol: :goof:

On the serious side...I dont see anything like that happening but I have been wrong before...I think....:cooldude:

Because Willis Will be an impact player from day One. And not to mention there are certain areas a Cover two needs.

Safeties (reached for ours last year but worked out) and then (stole one in the draft in the 4th).

DT- Grabbed on in free agency last year, drafted one, that again was a reach but fit a cover two. And then another Steal in the 5th. Likely to see another in FA this year maybe Ian Scott from CHI

MLB - London Fletcher. Does not want to be in Buffalo Anymore. Does not fit the system to slow. And makes a most of his tackles down field.

It is called your "X". In a cover two that "X" needs to be solid.

We have other options as well but if you do not see Briggs, June, Thomas signed in FA then expect that call.

While I'm not in favor of making our div rivals better either, I'd not be opposed to listening to offers from them or any other AFC East team. Hey, if they want the spot bad enough to pay a price that would help us as much if not more than them (in our opinion), then why not. Would you rather have them trade with Minn (who's right in front of us) and get nothing out of it ? It all depends on what the trade offer is. Never say never !

id rather deal with the pats, they have two first round picks, there both going to be late though

I agree with you, Willis is definitly worth trading up for. Dont be so sure we dont draft him ourselves though.

Those two first roudners dont equal to the #9 spot on the coaching chart. And ALL teams use the chart.

And right now, those are both at the very least 22 or higher.

Considering the Bills draft last year, I'm all for relieving them of their picks so they can make another reach.

In all actually I do not see anything wrong with the way the Bills drafted.

Reached for Whitner and McCargo.... Ok got it, but when you are switching to the cover-2 certain things you needed, see my above post.

Now their late round picks were perfect
Simpson YouBoty, Williams, Pennington all were starting at the end of the year

Levy did a great job. He looked stupid on draft day but by week 10 he looked like a genious. However, i think he got real lucky with Whitner and McCargo. He shouldn't bank on reaches panning out from now on.

I'll give credit where credit is due, the bills had a great draft. I wanted Ko Simpson. I knew he'd be awesome and of course he was proving me right ASAP.

O i agree with you about the reaches. But Willis would not be a major reach at 9. He may have to be a little reach if they want to move in front of someone that might take him. But I could see him easily falling to us at 12 and let us stay put.

They use the chart as a guide, not as something that is set in stone. If a team is desperate for a player, they are often willing to take the hit on the point value.

My roomate in college is a niners fan. Hes begging for Willis. He's at the point now where if the niners take anybody but Willis, he's gonna break the tv on draft day. But the niners have some serious WR issues, and someone like Ted Ginn would be really hard to pass up on.

But i dont see the niners passing on willis. I think he Bills should go for a CB in the 1st and hope for Buster Davis/H.B. Blades in the 2nd. Davis would be up there with Willis if he was taller. But the bills, like miami, have a stud at MLB whose shorter then the avg player and they both do great. I think Buster would be a great fit for them.

But they wont be. Teams only trade up for QB's really. That's the only reason anyone trades up. The broncos did it for Cutler, the Redskins did it for Jason Campbell, the Giants did it for Eli. no body trades up for WR or anything else. And obviously the patriots do not need a QB.
