Whether we cut Cameron and sign a different vet TE, or have him restructure/extend with us, the only long term TE we have on the roster is Sims. IMHO TE is a relatively significant draft need for just this reason. But I've yet to see much discussion on the TE's in the 2016 draft. We may not be able to bark up that tree until day 3 because of other needs, but I'd love to hear thoughts on this years TE prospects. I personally like the Tyler Higbee kid if he's available in the 4th or 5th, or Jake McGee from UF if we wait until later in the draft, but both had medical issues that need to be cleared.

I think Cameron and Sims could still be in the long term plans for the Dolphins. Cameron (27) and Sims (25) are both still young and their games compliment each other well. Cameron does need to show something more this year, and I have little doubt that he will under Gase and another year working with Tanne.

That being said, I have no issue with a late day 3 TE to develop.

I wasn't thinking Cameron was that young. I still would worry about concussions with him. But he looked ok in that regard all through 2015. Just struggled at what he is supposed to excel at. I personally would prefer to keep him in the fold at a cheaper cap number. But we would still need a 3rd TE, and late in the draft that's a good bet.

The only TE that intrigues me is Hunter Henry from Arkansas. I saw where he was comapred to Cowboys great Jau Novacek & it fits IMO.

I'm more than content to see what Stoneburner can do as the 3rd TE.

If Adam & Clyde are "borrowing" the offense Indy used during Peytons tenure; I expect more 2 TE sets and less 3 wide.
