Draft grades so far

a B, i dont think the pick was that good, id say saba has dun a C or C+ so far with the draft not a B with their 1st pick
 
8. Buffalo selects: Donte Whitner, SS, Ohio State Grade

They wanted a defensive playmaker and Whitner is a good one. But this is a little high for him. They must think J.P. Losman is the real deal. B-

26. Buffalo (from Chicago) selects: John McCargo, DT, North Carolina State Grade

They traded up to get McCargo, so they must really like him. He's a guy whose stock has jumped up the past month. He's a penetrating lineman who fits what the Bills want to do. He's an active player who can play the run and the pass. B

These 2 opinions makes the rest of Prisco's analysis utterly worthless. These are just horrible, horrible picks. Especially considering the Bills TRADED UP to grab a guy who would have been a reach at their 2nd round pick.
 
the phins were given a B by cbs sportsline based on there 1st rd pick of Allen. The broncos got the worst grade at F.

come on man, those were solid picks. huff was gone, so it was very possible the lions or rams would have taken whitner. he is a great player that may have been a reach, but we obviously really liked the guy and didnt want to risk him getting picked

and Mcargo wouldnt have been there if we didnt trade up, the giants were interested in him and traded down to get him

stop just saying they are bad picks because mel kiper had them going later

Whitner will be a solid player for Buffalo as for Mcargo im not so sure...

If Saban had drafted these two guys the board would be ripe with his genius. Whitner I thought was reach but I though Allen was a reach due to coming off injury. McCargo is far from the worst first round pick ever as some would have u believe. The Bucs and Rams had worst first rounders in my opinion.
 
IMO, B is a good grade for us. After all, we didn't even have a 2nd round pick. So really any good 3 guys will should have a better grade than our 2 guys.

i just read the actual explanations...

wow this guy wants sex with leinart. and friggin jacksonville who got Tight ends in the first round 2 years in a row got an A. He keeps grading people on how they will do right away, yet he says Leinart can sit and wait and gives him an A. He even mentions that its plummers 10th season, but then says Cutler will sit, so its useless. And he gave the bills a B on mccargo....

this guys an idiot.
