For those that love talking and thinking about the upcoming draft... turn on NFL Network. On NFL Total Access they are gunna be talking about the Safeties that are gunna be in the draft... a posistion the Fins will most likely be drafting this year.... Thought some of you might be interested...

it'll be a short segment. not that many exciting players at safety this year

I know he is a junior... but I still thought they would talk about LaRon Landry... I guess they only talk about seniors...

who is the kid @ Miami that is being compared to Prime Time?

They also talked about incoming players form the U.

Can't remember what game I was watching but someone was projected to be the best safety. I wanna say Texas but I'm not to sure.

Was it Michael Huff?

Miami's Safety Phillips, whose a freshman, is being compared as a cover safety like Ed Reed and a hitter like Sean Taylor...

Best Safety, if he comes out, bc I believe he's a junior...Darnell Bing, USC

Anthony Smith from Syracuse is one of the best safeties in college. i think he will make a great player in the NFL too. he broke syracuses record for interceptions and punt blocks and just has a nack for being around the ball. he is very fast and is always in the right place at the right time. he might get overlooked this year since syracuse is having a bad year so he might be a good 2nd or 3rd round pick but some people are projecting him to be a first rounder. i watched him play against Pitt the other day and he had an interception and a punt block. i think he would be a great playmaker to add to the defense with a second or third round pick if he is still available.

I still don't get why some posters continue to post about our "big" need at safety? With dire needs at QB, LT, CB, C, LB, G, DT, and WR...why in the world would we waste a 1st day pick on a safety when we got Shulters, Jones, Bell, and Tillman? All we really need is another backup to compete with Tillman and Bell which we can draft in the second day. Please explain. I'm confused how we need to use a high pick on a safety over all these other needs we have.

I would be nervous to draft ANYONE from Syracuse. They suck. I have the great privilege to get to watch... barf..Syracuse every week.
