Um... breaking news: Our O-Line is the second strongest aspect of this team behind our running backs. HH is a genious, making chicken salad out of chicken ****. Drafting a LT would be like drafting a RB!!! Our needs right now are QB and secondary. Depth would be nice, but you can't work on depth when your starters aren't even acceptable. No LT please.

So you'd rather draft a QB far too high instead of a possible Walter Jones? That makes great sense...

Our OL has one weakness and that's McIntosh who is merely solid. A great LT can turn this offense into Kansas City if we find a good QB.

Ive been sayin it. Qb~Leinart with the first pick and secondary help in the second. It has to be done imo. UNless...we get a young talanted f/a qb like a Carr or somebody along those lines then we can go LT or bpa.

I agree, we need a Qb, Wrs, Cbs and Dline much more than a tackle, at least that early in the draft. Supposedly its a deep draft for olineman so waiting till the 2nd or 3rd round might be smart.
Qb is the number one priority, even if it requires a trade to move up, it simply has to happen. There is no future for this team without a quality Qb. We will become bottom feeders for years to come if we dont get a Qb.

Where do you get franchise QB's, the 7th round. We need a QB that can take us to glory, ie Leinart. Leinart is the sure bet QB right nwo and we need that on the team, a young guy who can develope under a system.

No QB is a sure bet....and drafting is one of the most inexact things in the world. However...with the opportunity to take a guy like Leinart nearly ours...i believe we must take advantage of it. It's hard to draft a QB ...all you can do is try to evaluate and take who has the best chance to succeed. That is obviously Leinart.

We used a first round pick on a LT in 2004. He's just not playing LT. :(

Are you nuts?

It only appears that this line is solid because they do what is asked of them. The coaches don't ask more *precisely because* they aren't capable of more. We need them for the long passes and to be able to run at will instead of running when the other team allows it. A stout LT is something Miami has not had for far too long and would be the single best way of helping this team for the next decade with a single pick. I'm okay with trading down if Ferguson is off the board in an attempt to get more value while still getting one of the great LTs in this class, but the future QB of the Dolphins will assuredly thank Nick for being smart and taking care of this need in this draft.

He was drafted as a right tackle, not a left tackle. HH tried him at LT, but that's pretty much his exposure there.

I agree that the o-line is not the top priority at this time. They are playing pretty good right now.I wouldn't mind a top LT but I'd rather us get a top QB and a few guys on defence before I worry about the LT.We need at least 2 LB'S, a DE a big nose tackle and one more corner and a safety. Also we need a top WR that can be consisten. That's 8 players right there.I think we can get 3 on free agency and 3 on draft day but we also gonna need for 2 or 3 guys to step up from this last draft(Vickerson, Roth,Wright Alibi?)Is posible but not easy and at this point the picks should not be used on the o-line.

Ozzy rules!!

I agree. It's hardly a top flight line. We're kidding ourselves if we think it doesn't need personnel help. We can't line up and drive block against the best DLs. Lately we've played vulnerable rush defenses almost without exception. But the improvement is genuine and more than I expected.

yes sir...there is no ifs ands or buts...if we have a top 3 or 5 we have to take that chance to go to 1 to get leinhart...unless we get QB in the 3rd or 4th and get a Kitna-esc QB who is on the Market...Shaub might be interesting...Rivers doesnt have the arm streangth to run Linehan's offense IMO

Absolutely.

 More than I expected as well. H.Houck is the best, but what will happen when the league catches up and realizes that McIntosh & McKinney still starts for the Phins come '06? We are just getting by right now so why compare this line with last year's and remain satisfied?

Our Oline is decent because of HH. Imagine what they'd be if they were any good? We don't know where we'll be picking in the draft. We could end up with an LT in the first round.

Turn the page, its not 2004 anymore. The ratings of the LT's in the '06 draft have changed and there are no Walter Jones in this draft.

The Brick is a myth. Come April he will slide out of the top 5, possibly the top 10. He's a 289lb tackle who had a good junior year and a so-so senior one. Not good enough, nor is Eric Winston to pass on a better defender.

Talk about being smacked in the face by the truth and not realizing it. Did you watch our D yesterday?

Notice anything besides the limps, lack of speed and tackling? How about the fact that most of them are well on the wrong side of 32?
