I need some outside input on what our needs are going into the draft for a project I am working on. I will post the results when completed.

Some things to keep in mind;

QB - Barring a trade of Beck and assuming Pennington gets an extension all signed.

RB - Only Cobbs is under contract for 2010

FB - Polite 2009

WR - All under contract or Restricted FA's until '11.

TE - All FA's next year (Haynos RFA)

T - All under LT contracts except Frye who is a RFA next yr.

G - Smiley 2012, Thomas 2011, Murphy 2011, Berger 2012 others 2009

C - Grove LT, Satele signed through 2010

DE - All under contract except Wright 2009.

NT - Fergie is a FA next yr, Soliai 2010, Cohen PS

ILB - Unfortunately all LT deals and all have large salary's

OLB - All signed except Roth (2009)

CB - After this season we willl only have Jason Allen & Eric Green under contract (not including PS).

S - LT contracts for the starters but depth all 2009.

So if everyone could respond with the biggest need ranked 1 to the least being 14, for example;

QB - 13

RB - 8

FB - 10

WR - 7

TE - 3

OT - 11

OG - 6

OC - 14

DE - 12

NT - 2

OLB - 5

ILB - 4

CB - 1

S - 9

Try to keep the QB through Safety order

Thanks

if those are needs i dont agree.
CB, OLB, WR, NT, OL, FS, ILB
is what i think

Maybe I was not clear enough. Please list all 14 positions shown and simply place a number next to the position with 1 being the biggest need 2 being second biggest need, etc all the way to 14. I was not looking for agreement or disagreement only a consensus.

Great post idea. Too many people just blab on here about who we should sign without really knowing why we should be looking at a certain position.
QB - 13

RB - 8

FB - 10

WR - 3 (We could upgrade here)

TE - 7

OT - 11

OG - 6

OC - 14

DE - 12

NT - 4

OLB - 2 (we need to bring the heat from the other side to free up J.P.)

ILB - 5

CB - 1 (By far our biggest need, although I wouldn't mind going OLB first in the draft)

S - 9

I like how you put how long we are locked up with who we have. Thing is some of the guys we have, we could definitely upgrade.

Come on guys, I need some more responses! There are so many draft geniuses on this board lend your opinion!
