Draft pick compensation for coaches

I know it applied to Head Coaches, but based on the possibility of Linehan leaving can someone tell me if they changed the rule yet again because I found

Plus with all the talk of Herm going to KC. If the jets lose out on compensation that's always a good thing for us :D

As a general rule, teams are freely allowed to recruit another team's coach as long as it's a promotion. So if Linehan is hired by the Vikes to run the show, we wouldn't get a draft pick.

I know we won't get comp from losing Scott, but what is the current rule for HC compensation because even J. Clayton mentioned possible draft pick compensation for edwards this morning. This contradicts the ruling in 2003.

I think it's a straight negotiation between the teams, like a trade.
