i can see branch going top 10, but DT is not the position that miami should be targeting. with the 4th rated defense, unless they are getting a real defensive playmaker, offense has to be the pick. jarret at WR or s. rice
but i think that is too high for him.

yeh we need a real playmaker... Like reggie bush , mike vick type of player.

Nice but try this one

1. Darrelle Revis CB Pitt

I beleive he is the right guy for us. Alot of Specialists are saying Leon Hall but if you say him in the USC Vs. Michagan and how he was owend by Smith he isnt my top pick.

2. Chris Leak QB Florida

Showed his leadership and talent in the Championship game. Not a Starter but under a year with our team he would be ready by the following year.

3. Tyrone Moss RB Miami

The history behind the School should tell you this is a good future backup with Ronnie Strong Speedy and has hands.

4. William Gay CB Louisville

We need better coverage then what we have now and this is a good set William and Darrelle it would be the next Sam And Patrick show.

Free Agent pick ups
OLB Lance Briggs
CB Asaunte Samual
T Max Stark
T Langston Walker

Are you kidding me? How in the world would you afford a guy who's getting the franchise tag, Samuel, another RFA, and Walker?

IMO, i feel that we will go offense in the first. In the past we have gone defense heavy and it really hasn't worked. Ronnie was a good pick but it took Allen all season to get with the program and even then didn't make much of an impact. We need to go impact offensive player in the first. QB or WR.

I like the Branch pick, a lot...especially with Traylor retiring, Vonnie a free agent, Zgonina is worthless/retiring, and Wilkinson pulling a disappearing act this year.

The Brandon Siler pick, not so much...by retaining Capers that means that we will be running the 3-4 defense, or at least a hybrid. Second rounders aren't for our 4-3 situational players, and playing at a listed 235 lbs is too light for a future investment for a 3-4 DE/OLB type.

I like the Stanton and Taylor picks a lot, this draft is deep at WR and unless a Calvin Johnson fell to us, I just don't see any WR worth the 9th overall selection in the draft this year. We have much more pressing needs than quarterback to invest more than a third or fourth round pick on.

Other selections at #9 that I could see happen would be Gaines Adams if he fell to us, Joe Thomas in the extremely unlikely event that he would fall to us, and in all honesty that is about it...maaaybe Leon Hall, maybe. I don't see Ginn being a good pro and Jarrett is a reach at #9, and not that rare of a talent.

I am one of th efew who does not see WR as a tremendous need for us. What we need is for our QB to get a chance to be healthy and have a little bit more time behind that offensive line.

The only big-name FA I think we will pick up is Leonard Davis, especially if we retain Houck, who loves those big offensive linemen.

I would pick this way

1. Dwayne Jarrett
2. Jared Gaither or Doug Free
3. Drew Stanton
4. Best OLB available

No offense, but Leak will be lucky to be drafted. 2nd round is way too high, IMO.

I like Branch and Stanton....the other two I am iffy on.....we have plenty of depth at WR....I do think we could use more depth at LB....depends who is on the board in the 2nd round.
