I would love the Fins to be aggressive and get this kid. You draft him, see if he has what it takes to be a legit QB and if he doesn't then you use him like the Jets used Brad Smith. Pryor is 6'6 and runs a 4.4 forty. He would be a threat as a WR or a wildcat or even a seam TE. These types of athletes are a rare breed. I say take a chance with a mid round pick.

I agree with you, I'm probably the only one on here that will though, going by some of the stuff I've read.

I would be ok with this if it was a 5th round value or lower but I think he will be taken in the 3rd IMO.

I agree also. I dont think that he will be a full time QB but he can be a really good weapon in our offense. He could be a speed threat at TE and he could also take some snaps if needed. There is a place for him on our team.

If we didn't need the ammo to give us a chance to move up for one of the elite QB prospects next year, I would be ok with even a 3rd, but as we will no doubt then I would give up a 4th or lower.

This kid is a phenomenal athlete and if you correctly that's something this team has lacked over the past few years. If he can QB great but if not he's way to athletic to pass up on.

He's not draftable. This is especially the case when you consider that he wouldn't even be allowed to practice with your team until Week 7. He's got a 5 game suspension which means he won't be able to practice with the team until after Week 6 which is the Dolphins' 5th game.

You expect a man to make a transition to WR when he can't even PRACTICE until halfway through the season?

The reality is if you take him, it's not for 2011 at all. The 2011 season doesn't even figure into it. And from there I look at his long term prospects. He's a sh-tty quarterback with a terrible attitude problem, one that makes the gripes about Cam Newton and Ryan Mallett this draft season seem like parking tickets. His own teammates have consistently sold him out when talking to talent evaluators, talking about how arrogant and lazy he is, how much he rubs everyone wrong, etc. Consistently, the Ohio State graduating players entering the Draft have said that about him. And I know people who know people on the team and they say the same thing, independently.

Why does a guy with that kind of attitude successfully make a difficult transition to wide receiver? Just because he's big and runs fast? Roberto Wallace and Julius Pruitt are big and they both run fast, and they've been playing wide receiver a hell of a lot longer than Terrelle Pryor (who has not played it at all), and they also have 1000% better attitudes and work ethics. Yet, what are they? Camp fodder. Can barely even make a team, if that. And people think Terrelle Pryor is just going to magically click into place and be a great receiver.

Just say no. It's not going to work. Save yourself the headache, save yourself the drama, save yourself the angst of fans that don't really know what they're talking about constantly asking for him to step in at QB without realizing the Ray Lucas-like disaster that would befall the team if he ever did.

Wow. Couldn't have said it better myself. Spot on, in my opinion. Besides, if we really wanted our very own Brad Smith, we should have just signed Brad Smith.

/thread. But the Dolphins have just the right amount of stupidity to draft him.

Very well stated. It's interesting that many analysts have deemed this year a "lost season" for this years rookie class, due to the lack of OTAs, mini camps, etc. Imagine how difficult it will be for Pryor to make any kind of contribution whatsoever for a team this season. I realize the man is physically gifted, but why waste a roster spot for a player who won't contribute this season, and may never even end up contributing down the road?

we drafted white to be out wildcat qb ala brad smith and look how that worked..no thanks and please no more threads about pryor...he was a 1st class overrated bum

I think he is draftable...... the kid has talent. He should play QB and nothing else. Draft this kid to be our #3 QB..stash him on the roster and develop him. Dolphins need depth and talent at QB position. 2 or 3 seasons later, Let hype build up on this kid and see if he can push for a starting job or have trade value.

I hope the fins keep drafting QBs until, they find one. instead of trading or picking up other teams garbage.

This is it he will never be a good NFL QB so No do not take him.

It would be irresponsible not to draft this guy as a developmental project. The worst that can happen is he switches positions to TE or WR. There aren't going to be any 6'6 guys running 4.4's in next years draft. He might turn into our Jimmy Graham. I know some of you guys are going to say you can't just plug someone into a different position and expect him to succeed but I think when you have so much athletic ability the transition is a lot easier. For example, look at Jimmy Graham. He only played a handful of college games and is now one of the most dangerous TE's in the game. Hell, the guy only played a handful of football games in his life before being drafted so yeah sometimes you CAN just plug someone in.

It would also be irresponsible to use anything higher than a 5th rd pick on him because we need trade up ammunition in next year's draft in case we want to grab a top QB prospect. All I'm saying is we wouldn't be risking much for a potentially high reward. Worst case scenario he is a bust and we lose a special teams player we would have gotten with that draft pick. Best case scenario is he is another much needed weapon in our offense.
