So, when do we sign out players. I know what they are saying about ronnie brown and alex smith, but what about everyone else. Camp starts in less than a week.

Some teams have already started to sign their rookies. As far as I know, we have not signed anyone yet and NONE of the first rounders are signed yet.

We have typically signed people late -- just before training camp. Other teams, such as Atlanta and Green Bay, typically sign their players early. I really don't know the reasons behind it, just that this is typically what has happened.

im not really surprised, but starting this week it will be contract havic theyre will be tons of signings so not to worry to much

everyone should be signed within a week because after a week training camp starts and no worries they will be signed. there was a report that Travis Daniels was just about signed

thats very good to hear were close in deal with daniels that makes worries a little less

Daniels would seem to be the logical choice for first player signed.

I'm going to guess Crowder and down are done by the start of camp, Roth is done no later than the second day of camp, and that Ronnie misses 10 days (on the calendar -- I'm not sure off the top of my head if they take any days off in camp).

God I hope Ronnie doesn't miss no freiking 10 days.

I'd prefer he miss less than that, but it seems like all of the first rounders are likely to come in late this year.

I know this may sound like a stupid question but is it just his way of holding out not going to camp to get the money he wants in his contract? Or is it just a general thing with rookies not to go to camp until signed?

If it's just about money they should still go to camp. I know it's more pressure on the orginazation to get the contract done early to get the player in camp, but if you're going to start, you need as much practice and experience as possible.

Camp is a dangerous place. I wouldn't want to participate in contact until I had a deal, so I can't blame players for what I have to imagine motives them to not show like they do for non-contact mini-camp.

An insurance clause wouldn't pay as much as RB's contract. There is no way any rookies would participate in TC until signed.

any player must be under contract to participate in a team's camp whether it's a rookie or not although I do think that you can sign a wavier to participate temporarily
