why are we speaking of nothing but the draft. last time i checked we still have a chance of winning the division. Im not saying its going to happen but hey you never know.
 
Because I'm realistic.
 
Trust me I myself am looking forward to the draft, But if we win 2 or more games we will not get our Qb thru the draft
 
We need to draft a QB in the first round of this year's draft even if we have to give up a first rounder in the 07 draft to move up!

Yes we have a chance at winning the division. Hold on a second someones at the door......*5 Mins later* HOLY CRAP IT'S PUBLISHER'S CLEARING HOUSE I JUST WON 10 MILLION DOLLARS!!!

the draft is the light at the end of a long dark tunnel which is our Jay Fiedler/AJ Feely/Gus Frerotte era. Don't you remember what it was like to be a Fin fan when we had Dan? Don't you miss those days? Aren't you eager to get a new QB with some real talent and potential and watch him develop and hopefully win us a superbowl or two or three? I know I am. I don't root against the Dolphins, ever. I always root for us to win but I'm also realistic and it really would be bad for us to make the playoffs and just bomb out in the first round. yea, I'd love for us to win the division but I'm not going to waste my keystrokes on the thought because thats all it is...this year.
 
We'll get our QB. no worries. im not positive how but saban knows what hes doing.

That's not necessarily true. There are always trade up options and depending on whether Young or Quinn come out that could effect things as well. There is also the chance that Cutler sneaks up into the first round. Either way we need to get one on day one. Someone else will probably have to be brought in anyways (unless Lemon really impresses).
 
Why does everyone think a QB has to be a 1st round pick? There have been tons of QBs taken in later rounds who have blosomed just fine. If Saban knows what he is doing it would be advantageous for us to get one in a later round that all the other teams are overlooking and fill our other needs in the first few rounds. I agree your best shot at getting a franchise QB is with a top pick, but also if you miscalculate the guy you set your franchise back a long ways....just ask Dre Bly

:yes: Cutler is supose to be one of the QBs we are interested in and he isn't projected to be drafted until the second round.

yeah that was a week or two ago...i've heard recently he could be a top 10 pick now...

I dont see anything wrong with talking about the draft. I love the draft and talk about it 365 days a year. Some people just enjoy the draft so talking about it isn't a bad thing. Yeah we still have a chance of winning the division but that doesn't mean we can't talk about the draft.
 
We talk about the draft because we are not good enough to make the playoffs,sure with a whole lotta stuff going right for us we could be a wildcard team but the odds are minimal. There is nothing wrong with talking abut our bright future. I don't look at it as giving up but being positive about the direction of this team. I will still be listening to every game (Because I don't have direct TV) and supporting the team. But I am a realist and I understand where this team stands.

Well I think that backfired on ya. Now they're all talking about the QB of the future again.

Anyways, IMO, there is nothing wrong with talking about the draft right now, as long as the season still comes first. If you are hoping the team loses so that we can pick higher, then there's something wrong with you and I would question you as a fan.

We talk about the draft cos we love our team.We love our team so much that we're always thinking about what players we need to make our team better.Even if we were 11 and 0 we'd still think and talk abouot the draft cos we always want our team to get better....the reason we love the draft is cos we can get players on draft day to help us win...is never gonna change...it doesn't mean that we don't care about this year.....it means that we wanna get better players every year so that we can win.
