#22 Jarrad Davis LB Florida
O.J. Howard falling to the Dolphins in DraftTek's Mock Draft has ended this week. This means that it is back to filling one the Dolphins' biggest needs (Linebacker). With the possibility of losing multiple linebackers this offseason, the Dolphins will likely have a major need for a guy that can step in and contribute at either OLB or ILB.
After a little hiatus, Jarrad Davis is back as the Dolphins' projected RD1 pick. Simply put, it is Davis' skillset at Linebacker that keeps him in the running each week as the Dolphins' first pick. Davis is stellar in coverage and is arguably one of the hardest-hitting linebackers in this year's draft class. He has also received a lot of praise for his leadership and his ability as a tackler. These attributes are what make Davis the versatile linebacker prospect that the Dolphins will be in the market for. Some concern over an ankle injury that caused him to miss multiple games in 2016 is still looming, and will keep him from showcasing his skillset at the Combine. Barring any setbacks, Davis will remain a first-round prospect that could instantly upgrade the Dolphins' underperforming linebacker corps. ~Woodrow Sweet, Dolphins Analyst
