I was thinking if let's say top cb isn't there at 8 pick . I think rams need QB and Goff still there we trade down to 15 with rams.. Maybe grab Ragland ilb. Then with our 2 nd round pick as well as rams we take Apple cb. And vonn ss. This on premise we grab solid Guard in free agency... Would fill alot of holes on defense...

I like that. The more I look at the draft, Reggie Ragland would be such a nice fit. Miami needs a presence in the middle of the defense, a tone setter. He would provide that. Not sure if he makes it past a few of those teams picking behind the Dolphins and to 15 (Chicago, New York Giants).

Your scenario also improves the secondary in a major way.

I like this plan but Powel is the better Ohio State Safety. And don't we need a FS anyway?

This is probably Jeff Fisher's last season in St Louis, I don't think he will draft a QB. I suspect they will go after RG3.

They did a great job working Tavon Austin off Todd Gurley, RG3 could add a whole new dimension to that.

I also have a hard time seeing Reggie Ragland as an elite player. Although I def agree he's pretty good. But at 8 I'm looking for game changers.

That's true about not needing safety.. Maybe some other hole on defense could be filled...RG 3 would be interesting fit with Rams...I could see that as possible.. He is still young...

Also, Apple is likely to go in round 1, I suspect he would not be there for your scenario. If you took Apple round 1, Ragland still may be there round 2.

I'm not sure Ragland is even the best LB on his college team (Foster)...and he may be limited athletically...

I'm not much for knowing draft prospects..if this were to go down..who would be possible picks at 15 and 2 nd rounders? We would have 3 picks in top 45 which could help fill teams many needs...

Foster is better, but more injury prone. Ragland is a leader though. We don't seem to have many of them so I'd still be for it on a trade down option. I think people are overusing the word slow with him, maybe comparing to Myles Jack. But I guess we'll see come combine time
