• The Dolphins -- who scouted receivers Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate at North Carolina's Pro Day on Tuesday -- booked private out-of-town workouts with several prospects they like, including outside linebackers Connor Barwin (in Cincinnati earlier this week) and David Veikune (Hawaii), receiver Brian Robiskie (Ohio State), Texas Tech guard Louis Vasquez (Wednesday) and one of the draft's top punters (Cincinnati's Kevin Huber).

Vasquez wouldn't be a bad late round pick.

David Veikun really intrigues me as a pick in the later rounds, the kid was the best player in Hawaii period. I remember when I use to stay up late just to watch the monster offense Hawaii with Brennan, Bess,Gryce Mullen and Rivers and Veikune would always stand out on defense and had a motor like no player I have seen.

Great player to draft.
