Draft Trae Waynes !

He might be gone by the time we get to select. I think that he's the sensible low risk pick in a position of need.

How in gods great universe could ANYONE be "meh" on Tre Waynes?

This is a cream of the crop player with abilities in press and zone. Rare combination. True 4.3 speed and the fact miami needs corners in the worst way makes this pic a good god!! Hell yes choice!! Not "meh".

Can't believe I read that. Won't matter because no one in the NFL has " meh" attached to him and he will be long, long gone by #14.

he will be a top 10 pick. his combine pushed him up

He is one of the few CBs that is projected that high that I wasnt a fan of. I would have guessed that he was top 50 player, but not top 25. He didnt run very tight coverage and to remove a wr from the play. I thought he was playing off like that to set the QB up but he still gave up catches down the field quite a bit. I want a blanket corner for that high of a pick.

The one thing I have noticed with corners the past few years coming out of the draft. They require a few year to develop in todays NFL. Therefore I am not for taking a corner in the first round.

I hope he's there when Miami is on the clock. I have a feeling he won't be, though.

I don't have any hard statistics, but it seems there are too many DB and WR bombs in Round 1. There have been "can't miss" DBs that have been great, sure. I don't classify him ass a "can't miss". I doubt the Dolphins draft him, as they go more by the tape than the underwear olympics.

The problem I have with Tre Waynes is his lack of quickness and closing speed. He does a great job of covering the deep ball, but doesn't cover not much else. You really see this problem on tape and the combine confirmed it with his poor shuttle and cone times. That's why I am meh on him also. Would mind him later as someone we could develop, but not at number 14.

Trae Waynes has to be considered....but his 4.35 forty he posted may have him in the top 13 now...meaning we aren't getting him possibly.

Deion Sanders loves this kid and how he plays....I would have no problem with it.

I think the Miami Dolphins should take the BPA or trade down.

It may be that a pass rusher is BPA depending on how they fall....this draft has a load of edge pass rushers.

do we need to bring in another edge guy though? especially if they are work in progress typed, unpolished coming out of college? we seem to be doing that too much and havent fully developed the ones we were hoping on.

Getting to the quarterback is one of the keys to winning. Wake is getting up there.

So....If a Dante Fowler Jr or Vic Beasley falls to 14....I have no problem with that selection.

agree its nice to have, but disagree its a main key of winning... if you look at the playoff team in the NFL, they dont really have the best edge rushers, biggest sack stats coming from the edge, pressures, etc... they more have that team defense build, bend dont break sometimes, and just guys that fill in and play great in a system.

many teams that do draft and have those more prolific edge rushers like having them, they do well, but the team doesnt always do well overall.

but yes very very nice to have the prolific ones!!! but edge players out of the draft are ones that sometimes tend not to work out so well either, or more works in progress

also who would you like first... Fowler or Beasley if you could pick either of them and why?
