Here's the draft value chart, a rough guideline of what it would take to move up or down. I had trouble getting it to fit, copy and paste, any help would be appreciated.

I heard Kiper on M&M saying that Robinson, Lewhan, Matthews, and Martin could all be taken in the top 10-12 picks. The Dolphins picks value are 875 at #19, 400 at #50, and 185 at #81. I'm thinking that the value of 2nd and 3rd round picks will have more value because of the depth in this year's draft.

IF Hickey wanted to trade up, our 1st and 2nd would bring us up to around #9 to #11, and our 1st and 3rd would bring us up to around #13 to #15. I'm not against moving up IF it means getting someone like Matthews. I would rather take the chance of getting a Pro Bower than 2 potentially good players, which is what draft history tells us.

Thoughts and other potential trades moving up or down?

I don't think I would move up for a lineman, in fact I might not even take one in the first round.
(Un)fortunately, the Dolphins need elite talent just about everywhere so I would stay put and see what's available at #19.
Trading down from there actually looks more attractive to me

As much as I'd love to get Jake Matthews, I have to think he goes top 10. The Dolphins would have to give up too much of the draft to make that move. I think there could be elite talent available at #19, although not likely on the offensive line. If Miami goes BPA, it would likely be one of the top receivers (Lee and Cooks could both be there).

Don't think Hickey will want to part with any picks as this is his first shot picking as GM. They could very well go with OL, LB or a WR whoever he has at the top of his board at 19. Someone will be there and we have enough needs.

Looks like we would come out ahead if we "rumor" trade with Saints happens.

Saints get 1 (19) - 875 Pts

Fins get 1 (27) - 680 Pts and 2 (58) - 320 Pts - Total: 1,000 Pts

Saints looking to trade up ahead of the Eagles for WR Brandin Cooks - Oregon State

Trading up for a right tackle would not be wise

I would normally agree but, in a case of a Matthews, he could move to LT if Albert misses games as he has done the last two years, and move to LT in a couple of years, saving the team a bunch of money. There's a risk no matter what you do in any draft but, guys picked around #50 or #81 seldom work out very well. I do not value those picks as highly as most here.

That sounds pretty good. We can likely get one of the 2nd tier RT's, and another shot in the 2nd.

One trade that intrigues me IF we want to trade up, is Minny at #8. They need to get a QB but, may not want one at #8 because there is no other team looking QB until maybe Zona at #20 or Cleve at #26 if the don't take one at #4.

The same could be said in trading down with Cleve if they still need a QB.

How come the Draft Trade Value Chart didn't apply last year when we moved up to the 3rd spot in the deal with Oakland? It looks like it missed the mark by miles. When does it apply and when doesn't it? The fact that Oakland was prepared to make a lesser deal, means it has to depend on the circumstances of any moment.

Trade down if the tackles are gone.

Only way I move up is if I'm going for a playmaker. Like a TE or WR.

Imo the meat of this draft is in round 2 and I would do everything I could to pick up another second rounder. If all or most of the top QBs fall our 19 pick could become very lively for teams jockeying to move up to get their QB and we could end up getting more value than the chart would say. Also, I don't know anything about what next years class will be like but I would certainly be looking into it and would definitely be prepared to trade our 2015 first for a second this year if I'm Hickey.
