Considering what happens this year and that Boston and Thompson may not be here in '06 do you think its necessary todraft a WR in next years draft?? personally i think we could go two directions.........we could draft a decent to potentially good WR or get an excellent one in the 1st round or option #2 is that we leave josh davis and ronald bellamy on the practice squad (assuming brian gilmore makes team this year) and then bring them in onto the roster and possibly getting a free agent..........................thoughts???

next years WR class doesnt look great atm... Derek Hagan and Santonio Holmes standout.

we've got a decent shot at getting a franchise type tackle - i really like Jon Scott from Texas.... or a franchise QB - Leinart, Jacobs, Whitehurst.

sounds good to me, i think we should be pick up a WR in the 2nd or 3rd then if our situation is bad

our WR situ could be very good with CC, Booker and Boston.

I think QB and DT will prove to be bigger needs, and there's a good chance that LT will as well.

Next year is a phenomenal LT class: Winston, Scott, McNeil, and there's at least one other sure first rounder I'm forgetting.

i think depending on whos better in college next year we should get either matt leinhart or reggie mcneal.Reggie is at texas am and is like michael vick.He can run and pass.Matt leinhart could end up like jason white when he came back another season.A future qb.Then in the second round we get a wr.

There should be an excellent excellent OT class. It would be a shame not to participate in that.

It would be kind of cool to get Roscoe Crosby in the supplemental, but I'm keeping a close eye on Hank Baskett of New Mexico in next year's draft. Great Blue North had this to say about him...

July 8: WR Hank Baskett, 6-4, 220, New Mexico, SR... The first question pro scouts will be looking to answer when they head to New Mexico this fall concerns the health of star Lobos' RB DonTrell Moore, who has a chance to be just the 6th back in NCAA history to put together 4 straight 1,000 yard rushing seasons, if he is fully healed from a torn ACL suffered at last year’s bowl game. While they are there, though, NFL types also want to find out just how good an athlete is Lobos' WR Hank Baskett. At 6-4, 220, Baskett is a physical match-up headache waiting to happen; plus he's got deep speed, and as the reigning conference high jump champion, can sky for the ball. Last fall, Baskett emerged from relative obscurity to catch 55 passes for just over 900 yards which works out to an average of 17 yards per reception.

I hate to make comparisons to Moss, because everyone does even when it's not true, but if this dude has 4.4 speed those Moss comparisons are right on. Even if not, what you've got is a 6'4" high jump champion who has shown that he can consistently catch passes on the football field. Whether he's a project or a finished product by next year's draft, he could be a good pro.

Well if we do pass on MAnny Wright than i d say We need Dt Qb big time. i like The oline it seems to be pretty good but we still have to see. On the other hand i really like Rod Wright for a Dt or Orien Harris, Whitehurst JAcobs Lionheart are other possibilities. I also like Mcneill And Dbrickashaw

D'brickshaw... I am begging for Carey to take over LT so we can use our 1st on a bigger need.

I think we will draft a reciever next year, although QB, LT and DT are our bigger priorities.

I think the team could look for a WR but definately not in the 1st rd, and possibly not on the first day of the draft. Like everyone else is posting QB/WR/DT, probably will be the 1st rd pick in next years draft.

If we go into the offseason with Chambers, Booker, and McMicheal under contract I doubt we would select a wr on the first day of the draft. There are just to many other needs that we need to address before we get to what would be the number 4 option in our passing game.

Chill. Lets play the '05 season first.

Why do I get the feeling some people enjoy the offseason far more then the actual games?
