really if we get shelton, ashworth, and brees what will we need in the draft? now we got hodge so we cant spend it on greenway. should we trade the pick for later picks? thoughts.

what about crowder? even though i am a big hawkeye fan being from iowa, crowder deserves that spot more than greenway. greenway doesn't have much experience playing mlb cuz hodge played that position in college. spragan has the outside linebacker spot. or does he?

We will draft a CB #1.

that depends really...we have Will Poole, Travis Daniels, Andre Goodman, Kiwaukee Thomas, dont forget Shirdonya Mitchell who impressed a lot of people, and Eddie Jackson....thats good depth. If we sign another veteran like...Deshea Townsend or ANYONE for that matter...i dont see us taking a CB with our 1st pick...we will probably take a CB in the 2nd or 3rd. There is a guy named Jason Allen who apparently can play both Safety and CB, he might be worth a good look.

Hawk ran a 4.72 and Greenway looks not very athletic...

BPA

We need depth just about everywhere, especially in the secondary and LB.

If all of these things happen, our focus will be on defense and/or the BPA.
I'm waiting to see what Greenway does at Iowa's Pro Day to make my final determination on him. He might be a solid pick for us but I think there are better playmakers in the draft than him.

Jason Allen has played both CB and both Safety positions. The only problem I have with him is that he's injury prone. Had shoulder problems his sophomore or junior season before missing most of last year with a dislocated hip. He's a great athlete but can he stay healthy.

Manny Lawson or Ko Simpson

Both should be there around our pick and both would be good pick ups.

Ko Simpson only played 2 years of college ball but they were an amazing 2 years. He was freshman all SEC with 8 ints the first year and the second year teams didnt throw to him so instead he posted over 100 Tackles.
He is a beast roaming the middle of the field and could be a big upgrade over schulters (35 years old going on 36)

Manny Lawson OLB NCS - Should be there around out pick and is built like JT. He is 6'6 245 lbs in size where he runs a 4.41 40. He has time at OLB and at DE in college. He is a perfect fit for us and as tweener

I think Saban will still pick a LB since Hodge will most likely be a backup
