Dreaming...But what if? The Dolphins didn't trade to DALLAS, directly from 1 or didn't trade to them at all. And this scenario came up:
The St. Louis Rams fall in love with DT Glen Dorsey and they offer the Fins the number 2 pick and their 3rd & 5th rounder for the 1st. Lets stop right their would you take it?
Well the scenario goes on, holding the second pick they hear from the number 4 team (OAK) whose scared to death they'd loose a shot at RB Darren McFadden so they offer the Fins the number 4 pick and their second to move up to number 2. So far I like it, how about you?
Sounds like a dream come true, we're out of one, picked up 3 picks and we're still in the top 5. Over right, heres where we pick right, but no theirs another phone call, this time its the Broncos and they want DT Sedrick Ellis to sure up their run defense, they fell in love with him at the combine, and now want to trade the 12th overall pick AND, AND WR Javon Walker for the number 4 pick, what do you say now, would you take it?
And just to finish up the Dolphins deal Jason Taylor to the Jags for their late first rounder, to give them that badly missed pass rush they lacked against the Pats, we also ship Zach Thomas to Cinncy for a 4th rounder or a conditional pick in 2009, to give them a professional and leader in the locker room. I did this just to throw some scenarios out their. But they all are plausible individual trades (from 1 to 2 or 1 to 4...etc.) and even resemblely something that could collectively happen (1 to 2, 2 to 4 and 4 to 12).
That would give us the 12th pick, a late first from the JAGUARS, the 32nd (an extra first, thanks Pats) OAKLANDS second, the CHARGERS second, and two thirds. First playing GM, what moves would you make, what would you leave out, and who would you draft, you can also swap the move to 4 with a trade to DALLAS for their two first round picks. How does that sound?
