Looking at our QB situation we have Beck who has been trying to get up to NFL speed and Parcells also made the comment of not putting a young QB in there too early. Lemon I don't think really fits Parcells QB mold. Green is too shaky with the concussions. If we draft a rookie he wouldn't be ready for a year or two. IMO there isn't really any impressive free agent QB's.(Pennington noodle arm,Anderson too many draft picks, etc.) Bledsoe is a big pocket QB that Parcells likes, he is familiar with Parcells game plan, he has veteran leadership, he wouldn't cost us any draft picks, he is healthy besides aging,he always has fire when returning to play against NE(would love to see him get his revenge). He does make sense compared to what's out there. If Parcells thinks Beck gets up to speed and is prepared enough to handle the load in his second year then I could see him as the starter, however if he wants a veteran IMO Bledsoe makes sense. If not Bledsoe, then who do you think will be our starter?IMO there isn't much out there that isn't either injured or expensive or unexperienced.Thoughts?

Along as after he's benched it effects Beck the same way it effected Brady and Romo.

Seruiosly, he's been out of football for year now. I doubt he'll be getting any phone calls!

No Not Bledsoe... If Beck/Lemon didn't have time to throw and they are mobile QB's, what do you think a cement footed DB would do behind that line?

Did you really just suggest that the Dolphins bring in Drew Bledsoe? Did you watch any Cowboys games last year before Romo came in?

Bledsoe!?!?!? :sidelol::lol: :sidelol: :sidelol:. Sorry man.. I new it was coming though.. thanks for the laugh

I think that Bledsoe is retired, and has shown no interest in coming back. Culpepper and Grossman just might be the best free agent quarterbacks available this offseason. I think we should stay the course and give Beck a chance to develop.

Tim Rattay, Vinny Testeverde and Chris Redman all appeared in games this season, with Drew not getting so much as a phone call. That says it all right there.

I think Bledsoe suffered a career ending injury, if I remember correctly it was a big fork sticking out of his back.

No thanks

hey Parcells brought Vinny when he was old to Dallas and Bledsoe.

I would like us to go after Billy Volek as he is not as old as Bledsoe or a lot of the other veteran QB's that have been mentioned. I don't know if San Diego would be open to talking a deal, but we did deal Chambers to them. I like what I saw out of Volek last weekend when Rivers was injured, and he seems to not get rattled in big games.

There's a difference between being old and being ancient. Bledsoe would get absolutely destroyed behind our O-Line. He's never been great in the pocket. I just don't see this as a good fit. I expect he will stay retired.

Although I dont want him here either I could unfortunately see him come over. I think Brunnell is another one that Parcells might bring over. Personally I would prefer to keep Green one more year or Volek or Redman if we had to bring someone in

LMAO Brady and Romo get all the credit but it was the teacher Bledsoe.

I know he has been gone but there is the Vinny factor.
