ESPN.com's John Clayton reports New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees agreed to a six-year, $60 million contract that included a $10 million signing bonus to join the Saints.

Well it's no wonder we couldn't come near those numbers!!!! Thats just plain ridiculous figures and give's true meaning to the words " a fool and his money"
Cant blame Brees though (although it does say something about the charactor of a man) if thier foolish enough to pay him that then why should he be a bigger fool for not taking it? One reason, just sacrificed a career of glory for a career of misery. Good luck Drew

ummmm get the facts straight buddy, its a 8 million dollar signing bonus for this year, with a 2 million dollar base salary. that is 8+2= 10 mill
and they have a 12 million dollar option next year, so if they arent happy with his play, bam see ya bye bye brees, and if there happy, then they keep him and can work out the contract some more.

My point is that the Finz are better off using the money they saved on a quality FA who can help at another position Buddy!:evil:
