59% completion percentage, 28 td passes, 31 interceptions, qb rating of 72.

He was considered a bust at that point, and now he's been a top 5 qb for the past 5 years, and may be the best in the game today.

And people are ready to give up on Henne after one bad HALF?

Actually, those are pretty damn good numbers for a ROOKIE QB

Look at Manning's first 2 years. he had like 29382398 interceptions.

Dude.. the reality is numbers cannot accurately predict the outcome of a certain player.

I syand behind whoever the guy is in there. I lent Penny my support.. now Henne. We all want success. But 150 gazillion dollar line has to protect.. any.. I mean any WR needs to step up.. and just maybe.. Henne will be ok.

It was his second and third years in the NFL. He didn't start his rookie year, Doug Flutie did.

Brad Duke bought a lottery ticket, and won millions of dollars. But he's an anomaly. Most people who buy lottery tickets are net losers.

Just the same, most QBs that suck for several years, continue to suck. Like Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler, Joey Harrington, etc.

Chad Henne has shown nothing so far - in preseason and regular season. But he should be our starter right now, because he gives us the best chance to win. However, to compare him to Drew Brees is ridiculous.

We don't know how good Chad Henne is with an o-line that gives him no time in the pocket, and a horrible defense. Flacco, Sanchez, Ryan are doing well because they have been drafted into good situations.

o-line wasnt so bad. i saw some dropped passes, some penalties (that also have to do with new rythim with a new QB, some deflected passes, some bad decisions)
