Drew Brees might be a free agent!!!!

I'm personally afraid of bringing in Brees. I just don't think he is our long-term answer at quarterback. With this injury, he won't be 100% for the season in my opinion. Look at Pennington, rushed back to soon... Spending a great deal of money for Brees is scaring me... I like him, and saw him play in Washington last year, but these kind of injuries can change a qb forever...
 
He will be a FA... there is no question in my mind...

ya... but today they had a press conference where they said they werent going to sign him to a long term deal, and that he will infact hit Free Agency...

basicly, it is official, unless Brees decides for some reason to accept the incentive-laden contract from the Chargers...
 
any ways...i would rather have Drew Brees than Gus Ferotte!!!

i dont understand, why would Miami take a chance on Gus Ferotte (who has never been real good) and not take a chance on Drew Brees.

I mean Miami picked up AJ Feeley....who the hell is he????? hes just a one hit wonder who backed up Mcnabb when he was hurt.
 
ESPN has just reported it also that he will likely go into FA. Like I wrote about 5 minutes ago he should have been a fin 5 years ago.

I agree, Miami should have never passed up on him in the 2001 draft

Agreed, Brees to Chambers sounds alot better than Ferotte threw another pick...:D

Why do we constantly desire guys who are unproven coming off an injury. Before we all get worked up into a frenzy let me drop one name on you.
