As a purdue alum I would die for that, I about keeled over when we passed on him for Fletcher, but I don't think there is any chance of that happening. In all reality if he has another good year they will franchise and keep him or at least want a 1st rounder for him. I don't think Saban will be trading away picks very often.
 
If Brees plays like he did last year, then there is no why that the Chargers should let him go. Rivers will more then likely be the QB on the trading block.
 
i honestly don't see brees playing that well this year. but i don't see him doing terribel either. I see him being mediocre and San Diego having to make a decision, that either way they really won't like.

Well whats really funny is saying once or twice is okay because someone might forget when/if your proven wrong but I swear I've seen him say this about 20-30 times put in his sig, custom title. I think every1 knows where he stands and he doesn't need to say it anymore. Thats just me though.

Just what I was thinking. I understand going out on a limb, but Gibbs obviously hates him. When a you bring in Brunell, he doesn't work out, so then draft a QB with a 1st rounder you traded up for there is no realistic chance for Ramsey to have sucess or a chance.

I'd rather have Frerotte or Feeley in there...that says a lot about Ramsey
 
This reminds me of Jon Kitna and Frerotte all over again.

Horrible or below average careers then they all of a sudden have a breakout year (Frerotte only a breakout 2 game span) now everyone jumps on their bandwagon.

Brees was horrible was 4 seasons- Now alot of people think he is great
Frerotte was horrible, had 1 good season, was below average again then had a great 2 game and now alot of people are on his bandwagon.
Kitna was below average his whole career. Then he has that one good season and everyone jumped on his bandwagon.

I want consistancy. 1 good season out of 8 is not my idea of a fute QB. 1 great season after 4 horrible seasons does not get me excited. Culpepper, Manning, Big ben, Donovan all started off prett well in the NFL.

I am all for givinga QB time, as long as he is in my system. But I will not mortgage my future on a QB who had 1 successful season.

I am not dissing Brees. I think he will remain solid. However, it's not worth the $ nor the picks it would take to get him if we decide to go his way based off of 1 season.

Once again a pointless post. I go through threads all the time and see you post crap that doesnt have anything to do with it. You joined in march and you have 1735 posts, no wonder! I dont think i have ever seen you contribute any info in a thread before.

As for Brees i would love to see him in a fin uniform. Solid QB, somethin we definitly lack. Bringing in Rivers really lit a fire under his butt. 27 TD's and only 7 interceptions last year.
