He's a senior and I've actually had the chance to talk to him since I'm a UCLA student and my dorms are right next to the practice field. He's a pretty good guy, likes to chat with people, and is a breakout star this season. I'd be glad if we get him.
Sounds great guys.....maybe worthy of a middle round pick ? 3rd or 4th ? I mean we still need to go get a starter for next year or keep Gus one more year if we were to draft him.
I'm no scout unless you consider half a season playing high school football as in-depth experience . But I watch UCLA games regularly, mainly because I go to UCLA. He knows how to use his TE and RB effectively in the passing game and has a knack of winning comeback games. He has all freshman WR's, some of whom are injured and he still manages to perform well. He's also got great character and is more than willing to chat with Bruin fans outside the practice field. As a passer, he's got above average accuracy and decent but not spectacular range. He's not mobile but he'll still move around the pocket to avoid sacks.
If there's a guy in this draft to be compared with Jason Campbell, it is Olsen. That's my personal opinion. He wasn't ever really able to put it together until this year but he just seems to finally get it.
