Drew Rosenhaus: Beck a disapointment!

Dont know how many people saw this but was on sports extra last night during Drew's Next Question segment.

DR said that so far John Beck has been a major disapointment this off-season. Even though he has been working very hard and has thrown thousands of passes, David Lee the QB coach came out and said that if a QB does not throw 3 quarters overhand he does not have a good chance to be sucessful in the NFL. Beck throws a slight side arm pass and his passes have a lower trajectory then Henne and McCowns throws. Drew says this is a big issue. Plus he has been taking a lot of sacks in the pocket and fumbled a snap on Sunday.

Drew has McCown starting with Chad Henne coming in sometime during the season even though on the depth chart Beck will be listed as the backup.

Did anyone see the show last night?

We need to wait until Training Camp and preseason games before seeing whether or not he has improved. A few Mini Camp practices and OTA days in shirts and shorts will not determine his future with the team. I wouldn't be surprised if McCown ends up being the starter this season and Henne as the long term answer, but it is still to early to tell.

Also, this is the same Drew Rosenhaus who on a YouTube video for Sprint(which is still up) said before the draft that there was NO WAY his client Dan Conner falls out of the first round. He said he would definitely be a 1st round pick. Conner went it round 3.

but really who cares what rosenhaus says?he may has a lot of knowledge of the business side of football but i doubt that he can evaluate beck better than players,coaches and some beatwriters who see beck practice neraly every week..:err:

DR is a moron. Lee said that is what they corrected on Beck in the offseason. If you watch any of the OTA videos he is not throwing it at 3 quarters and its not any lower than McCown or Henne. He looks like he releases it higher than Henne because of his long wind up.
Omar from the SunSential reported that McCown is having the hardest time with the snap as he has fumbled it multiple times. As I can tell Beck is the only one that hasent thrown an INT.
Dont listen to anyone that has not actually watched them in camp.
 
The point is, DR speaking on anyone's ability, other than his clients, to me is simply not taken into consideration. It's a complete conflict of interest, you don't know this guys overall agenda, he's a freakin agent.

Ditto. I couldve told you this a few months ago.....oh wait....I did.
 
I don't know why some people are so high on Beck. The Beck I saw last year was horrible! I know Drew isn't the best person to listen to when it comes to football but I think he has a point. This year if Beck doesn't learn how to hold onto the football and make something happen - he will be long gone!
