Just on WSVN local sofla TV, weekly Sunday segment ("Next Question")- WR and would be used in wildcat, great fit there. Also some RB possibly if I heard correctly. Still thinks they have to look hard at CB, says definitely at least a 2nd rd. pick spent there.

One question that I have- how well can Harvin throw the ball?

We'll see about the CB position, and I agree that Harvin will get a good, long look if available.

I am sure we will look hard at every player, including Harvin.

Thank you for your input. The context of the story was Gators that the Fins will look at in the draft (Jason Watkins was mentioned) but Rosenhaus made it clear- in his opinion the Dolphins are very interested in Percy Harvin.

Harvin doesnt impresss me

Look harder then. Look at what he did in the championship game with a very injured ankle, he wasn't runnning at nearly at full speed that game. Look at his production, even with everything focused on Tebow, running QB et al. Look at his strength, speed and quickness. He doesn't impress you? Please. If nothing else a guy who runs in the 4.3's and benches 405 should pique your interest.

If Harvin falls past the first round I'd be OK with taking a chance on him, but I'm not high on a guy who comes from the most un-pro style offense ever, is injury prone, and lacks a true position. When you consider that we have needs other than "playmaker" to spend a first round pick on, there's no logical reason to blow first round cash on such a risky prospect.

I'm so tired of this spread offense crap. And the reason why he played WR and RB is because he's so damned talented and productive. And that double dipping position wise- 190 carries- led to some of the injuries. We'll be lucky if he's there at #25, and if nothing else he'll be seriously considered- you're dreaming if you think we might have a shot at #44. Spread offense, route tree, whatever- we have position coaches to help players adjust to the NFL I don't see it being an issue with him. He can or will learn to run any route in the book- you go where the talent is, and he has it. And playmaker is a huge need.

he is a better version of ginn, but he will not be there when we pick

Guys this organization is not targeting WR so early in the Draft. I think this group really has confidence in our recieving corps and a reciever will be drafted much later in the draft. The position Miami has shown the most interest is LB, last year besides Porter the pass rush was non excitent. Miami has been linked to just about every LB and DE/OLB in this draft. Just to name a few:

Rey Maualaga
Clay Matthews
Larry English
Cody Brown
Paul Krueger
Michael Johnson
Clint Sintim
etc......

They want a guy opposite to Porter and they have been trying to get one since they missed last year on Calvin Pace.

i've sworn myself not to be surprised with whoever is going to be the pick. you just never know with Parcells. judging by who we have brought in or are scheduled to be bring in for a private workout (others certainly know better than me; i just heard about maualuga and Barwin), i think we're not looking at WR with the 25th pick though

Draft him to use him in the Wildcat? What? A WR running between the tackles.....Right.

You draft him as a top WR prospect. And he can run between the tackles if need be, he's plenty strong. The wildcat aspect is a bonus- it's a nice twist, but what we obviously need is a stronger base offense, a la Jake Grove. DOn't penalize a guy because he's versatile and brings a lot to the table.
