If you guys want a late round guy to groom, lets go with Drew Tate.....he's mobile, and has a good arm, he's only counted out because he's only 6'. The've called him a poor mans Drew Brees.......you know, that guy we should have had last year. Anyway, if Cam is good at grooming qb's, then lets get tate and groom him. Let me know what you think. I might be a little biased being an Iowa fan, but I like the idea.

Anyways as for tate hes not tall enough yea there is a slight chance he would do well in nfl but majority of short qbs that come into nfl don't go far.
 
NO WAY...I have watched many ugly hawk games, the guy flips out on his team all the time, gets personal fouls, not exactly the definition of a true leader...very competitive guy but not right for this organization.
 
Yeah, I think you are too biased. Tate is too small and not talented enough to succeed in the NFL. Good college player, but nothing more than that.

Sorry, but Tate's arm strength isn't nearly good enough for the pro game. He'll be lucky if he's drafted at all.

Another qb that flipped out on his teammates: Dan Marino.

However, I don't think Tate is an NFL qb. He's listed as 6', but he's shorter. I've been next to him and I think I have about 4 inches on him and i'm 6'2. Would I love to be proved wrong, YES, because I too am biased. But he most likely won't be an NFL qb.
 
Drew Tate measured 5'10 6/8ths at the Shrine Game.

Drew Tate will be an UDFA.. Chris Leak is someone Miami should look at in the 6th round.. if hes there. I have a feeling Detroit is going to spend the 5th round pick they got from us on Leak

According to Pioli's board, he's a 5th round value pick. Leak would be a tremendous backup to Tom Brady, and Bill Belichick is a good friend of Urban Meyer's ( notice how New England used a lot of screens and spread type plays? He and Urban actually got together and brainstormed.. )

Tate was average at the college level. As a fellow Hawks fan I don't see how you could want to spend anything more than a 7th on him.

Oh No, not again. I knew Mr. Stat would show up on the Drew Tate thread. In your eyes, Drew Tate is getting smaller. Chris Leak keeps appearing on Drew Tate threads.

No to Chris Leak. I would rather have Stanton. Um, spare me the stats.
 
I see him getting drafted in the very late rounds.
Theres better QBs we can draft this year.

How is Drew Tate getting smaller in my eyes? Drew Tate measured at 5'10.. sorry if you don't like the truth! Scout has him listed at 5'10 1/2.. which is the closest thing to true that Ive seen. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=8&p=8&c=1&nid=1989673&refid=4345

I'd rather have Stanton than Drew Tate and Chris Leak as well :)
