Two things I took from the Raiders game. One I've never been a huge fan of Ferrotte but to his defense in the beginning of the game there were just too many dropped passes. Both by Chambers and McMichael also by Gillmore. Anyways that didn't really impress me much considering how well these guys seemed to perform in the past, but they came out with the win anyways.

My only other little gripe was that it's nice to take some chances downfield but there is a point where you need to hit some shorter routes. The playcalling was really sketchy at first because every ball seemed to be thrown as the homerun pass.

Offensive line I thought did a decent job. Hey they had to protect Gus as he was holding onto the ball for what seemed to be an eternity. The defense looked pretty good and Sam I am has got to stop biting on the short moves. If not an overthrown ball yesterday he would have been burned by about twenty yards... Good game though...

I love it that we go for the homerun pass plays..... it opens up the field for the running backs...(safetys have to play back)..... im all for it....

Tough crowd, even after a win. You have to stretch the field. It opens up room for the short stuff and for the running game. The pass to Gilmore was a great way to open the game.

The playcalling was probably the best Linehan has done all year. Almost an even number of runs and passes. It doesn't get much better than that.

Madison didn't have a bad game yesterday. Especially when you consider the WR's the Raiders have. He was pretty soldi, just like he has been all year. In fact, he seemed to do a better job of tackling and was there in run support more than usual. He's one guy who just can't get any breaks on this site.

Dropping passes has been a problem for us all year. Randy had his worst game of the year yesterday I think (dropping wise).

Throwing the deep ball is a very important thing. Even if it is incomplete u keep the D honest to the pass and keeps 8 out of the box.

I'm not over judging I think too many people are on the defensive on this site with slight criticism. I did finish my statement by saying it was a good game so read the whole post if your gonna say that it wasn't constructive criticism. It is good to spread the field but the long ball doesn't carry a high percentage so all I was saying was that they threw a lot more than usual especially when you look at the interception in the endzone. I loved yesterday's game I thought all in all it was played well. I only offered up what I saw. I think that we will need to address the wr position (not T.O) as well as the qb position and we may be again very balanced. OL again played pretty good and I love the young players on D. So whatever a few points that I had before I'm still standing by them...

I'm not saying anything about your thread. I just feel that u have to throw to open up the running game.

I think Leinahan or however you say it thinks he still has randy moss on the team to go get the homerun balls.

I'm sorry, but there was one point where we seemed to throw 3 deep passes in a row when we were in good field position and should have been driving to extend the lead and I was so disgusted I had to turn to another game. Just remember, Gus can't hit 1/10 deep throws so the safeties really don't have to worry that much.

Nah it's not a tough crowd at all. Chambers and McMichael drop the ball. Everybody talks about it when we lose and when we win it doesn't mean it's fixed. I love it when the fins win but these 2 high priced offensive weapons need to hold onto the ball all of the time. Until I see consistancy from them, win or lose big plays or not I will continue to point out that thye drop the ball too much becuase they do.

Im a big fan of the long bombs beacuse thats what this offense is about, stretching da fireld like they did in minnesota now i know chambers is no randy moss but he has decnt spped to catch a couple beacuse if gilmore did it then chambers could do it.and when i saw film of 2003 when frerotte started 2 games in minnesota he was having career games.because that long bomb could kill defenses
