Drug policy agreement today. | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

Drug policy agreement today.

I have heard this the last week to be the case. I am sure it happens today or tomorrow, but...

So we basically get them back a week early, and then there is the possibility that they dont even play in game 4 because they haven't been allowed to practice with the team.

From what i saw they released the names of players who had their suspensions cut and i didn't see Dion or Reshad's name on the list.

the 7 listed names are part of estimated 20 who will be affected by new drug policy once NFL approves it, likely to occur in next 24 hours.

The NFL is working with the NFL Players' Association on a new drug policy that will cut the suspension of some players who violated the old policy on performance enhancing drugs. The Dolphins have two such players -- safety Reshad Jones and defensive end Dion Jordan -- suspended under that policy.

But multiple sources told The Miami Herald that Jordan will not have his suspension revoked once the new policy is announced as agreed to. The announcement on a new policy is expected soon.

Those same sources were not in agreement whether Jones would be returned to the Dolphins active roster.

It is possible both players will have to finish their full four-week suspensions, two weeks of which they have already served.

It is unclear why Jordan is not eligible to return when approximately a dozen players are going to be allowed to return before their full suspensions are served.

Under the old policy, players violating the performance enhancing drugs policy were suspended upon their first violation. Under the new policy, they join players who test positive for recreational drugs under the same umbrella. And those players are remanded to counseling and more tests on their first violation.

The NFLPA negotiated that most players suspended under the old performance enhancing drugs policy have their suspensions voided and be addressed under the new policy.

If this is true maybe this means it's not his first failed test.

I am so confused because reputable talking heads like Rapport said they'd be back, but Schefter and Mando say "no". Confusing to say the least.

I thought under the old rules you were suspended with your first test? I think if he isn't allowed to come back then it means he wasn't using a recreational drug like Amphretamines…he was actually using a PED like a steroid

It's not that confusing. Ian and Schefter were give bad information. Everybody ran with it because they guys are usually correct. We learned Saturday the info was wrong but most people ignored that.

After his suspension Jordan said he failed the because of supplement containing a banned substance. Why has there been an assumption the supplement contained amphetamines instead of something else? Did I miss a team, league or statement from Jordan saying it was amphetamines?

I don't really care about Jordan, he is a luxury, but we need Jones back ASAP. Jimmy Wilson tackles like Tedd Ginn jr's grandmother.
