Drug policy just passed among player reps

Jordan did play ST last year. Hell, anybody can cram ST plays and a few D packages over 48 hours.

One thing that MAY be an issue is the players union may demand that the players be on the active roster so they get a pay check. If they are not on the active 53 do they get paid?? I don't know that answer but it just came to mind.

Good point on the special teams angle for Dion Jordan

What about last weeks check? Retroactive for Jordan?
How bout Jones? Is he eligible to play Sunday? We can and should activate both players.
Let Dion play a spot role and put ****ing Jones back in!
We need both of them.
Even use Jordan as a LB.
Let them play and play a lot!

So do we have to cut someone off the roster with Dion able to play and if so who?

Can we release someone from the Practice squad?

Jordan was one of our best on ST's last year but, did not get a single snap in preseason. I believe Philbin leaves things alone until next week

Jordan took an amphetamine which would allow him to play but Hones never said what he took so I don't think we have heard about him yet. Would be HUGE to get Jones back now.

Yes both Dion and Jones are eligible to play...

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000393562/article/nflpa-approves-new-drug-policy-includes-hgh-testing?campaign=Twitter_atn

"The new policy will institute human growth hormone testing for the first time and offers sweeping changes to the league's drug policy.

The threshold for positive marijuana tests was raised and offseason amphetamine-positive tests will go from the performance enhancing drug policy to the substances of abuse policy. That means players that failed tests for amphetamines this offseason like Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will have their suspensions immediately lifted and be eligible to play this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick, Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones, and Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan also will have suspensions lifted. Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will have his year-long suspension for marijuana use reduced to ten games".

Jordan and Jones are better than the players that are playing, but not having practiced concerns me as a fan.
Obviously, the coaches know best.
Jordan will probably come in as a Blitzer, and Jones would come in if we are getting shredded up the middle.

We could really use Jones more than Jordan. We need some bodies in the secondary. Even if he just has a few days to get ready it has to be better than having Jimmy Smith back there. We need someone who can tackle and Jones is better than Jimmy.

Jordan at OLB is a pipe dream. With the extra weight, he looked terrible. I believe hoops hit on this already.

ICYMI Reshad Jones and Dion Jordan will both have suspensions lifted. Will be interesting to see if they have any role after no practice.

I honestly won't be surprised if they don't play at all…and I wouldn't be surprised if they do play. Its a pretty interesting situation. Regardless…I think this is great news. I don't think it changes this week much…but its great to have them back for KC and Oakland

I'm sure the two players have been told over the last few days that this was probably going to be the result, so they are probably packed and ready to get on the plane. When is the team leaving, tonight or tomorrow?
