Yeah, some take shots at DT for not making first downs in short yardage, and now take shots at him for making TD's in short yardage. Go figure.

Hey mr agenda... No one is bashing him for making tds in short situations.. Please quote where someone said that., lets not make things up to make ourselves look right..
Facts are facts

WOW! Name calling for others pointing out what grade school Phans know not to do. Not a good thing.

I have no time or interest in re-posting posts made. If you have a problem in reading, comprehension or, remembering, that is your problem. IF you had not taken a pathetic shot on the name calling of "scums" I may have tried to help but, not now.

Who knows, if we lose the patented Dan Henning sweep to Daniel Thomas, he might increase his YPC to 3.8!

Oh wait, he's not particularly great at running between the tackles either.

The only thing he has going for him is that he isn't horrible. Sadly, not in the "quietly dependable" kind of way, moreso the "he doesn't suck quite as badly as he makes you think he does" way.

Nobody is taking shots at him for getting into the end zone, we're taking shots that he's nothing more than a "goal line" back and he's even average at that, we could've signed Michael Bush and he would've had as much production as that.

He was fighting with Lamar Miller for goalline carries, he was bound to get a TD here and there. When you can hardly outrun Joe Flacco, you're not a big part of the team.

You're defending a nothing but average player that has to fight for a roster spot on a team that is severely lacking at the RB spot, good players don't worry about being fringe roster spot players.

I wanted to sign Blount in FA, did not happen. I thought we would draft a RB around the 3rd round, did not happen. I believed either could have been an upgrade over DT. Maybe because Philbin likes DT if he could stay healthy, and said last year that he did not have the same openings that Miller did.

PFF had DT as bad in 2012, and much worse in 2011 but, last year was different in him getting what he could out of what was given. I did see him run harder and contribute more to the team. Remember that running right he had Jerry/Clabo, Jerry/Martin, and Jerry/Columbo. Hardly a recipe for success.

Not saying he is anywhere close to VG but, did improve last year, and I don't see any better options to replace him. JMO in liking Miller as #1, and DT possibly having a bigger impact than Moreno.

you really think thomas is better than moreno? DT will be RB 3, if he makes the team.

Bush had 3 TD's and a 3.1 average for Da Bears. Next.

What doe outrunning Flacco have to do with anything?

1st of all, Michael Bush had half the carries as Daniel Thomas and still had 3 TDs, he would've had as many as Thomas if he would've gotten as many carries. When he did get as many carries the year before, he had 5 TDs. And, when Bush only had 5 more carries in 2012 he had 11 more first downs, and even 10 First downs in 2013 on half the carries as Thomas. So maybe you might want to look into it before writing your agenda off.

And My point with Flacco was that Daniel Thomas only had 1 more carry of 10 or more yards than Joe Flacco...Joe Flacco had 5 runs of 10 or more yards compared to Daniel Thomas with 6.

Daniel Thomas - The Good:
- 235 pounds, but quick feet like a ballerina
- Nice burst - can squeeze through a hole when he sees it
- Soft hands, "receives" the ball - doesn't fight it

The Bad:
- 235 pounds, but power like a ballerina
- He rarely sees a hole, except his lineman's butthole, which he is also adept at running into.
- Soft runner, "receives" hits - doesn't fight them (at all)

Daniel Thomas is garbage. Plain and simple.

You are right CMD, I should have expanded my post to be fair. Here ya go.

Bush had 63 carries for 197, a 3.1 avg. caused 10 missed tackles, with 3 TD's. He also caught 4 of 7 passes, and 1 TD.

DT had 109 carries for 406, a 3,7 avg. caused 21 missed tackles, with 4 TD's. He caught 15 of 16 passes, and 2 TD's.

IMO, DT is the better runner and receiver, and Da Bears had much better run blocking. Again, I am defending DT's play last year, and not his other years with the team.

You're trying to compare stats with a man who had half the carries, if Bush would've had 109 carries how many of those stats would've been AHEAD of Thomas's? I guarantee he would've had more rushing TD's with as many goalline carries, and more first downs.

Look, Michael Bush sucked last year, he was putrid and didn't get any carries because he was horrible, but you have to try to defend Thomas against a man who had a putrid year, and it makes Thoams look even worse. MIchael Bush had a better year in 2012 than Thomas has ever had in his career, with a worse Oline than we had last year. And that year was still considered **** for Michael Bush, he was even playing with a broken shoulder bone and only played 13 games.

And when Joe Flacco is almost outrunning you, how good can you really be?

People hate Daniel Thomas because Jeff Ireland traded up to get him and he's not a superstar plain and simple. People absolutely love hindsight when it comes to the draft and this is the perfect opportunity to think of all the players we could have had instead of Thomas.
