I saw he was excused from practice and I know we have been talking with them about trading one of our DT's. Seems like a nice fit. I wonder what Mularkey would think of him though. I like Sammy Morris though - not sure if he would be much of an upgrade. With a bunch of teams needing backs it would seem he may be trade bait. Hopefully we can get something instead of just cutting some quality guys.

Wow, I was thinking Chris Brown. I remember last year Travis Henry said he wanted to play for the Dolphins. He would be a good back up.

I think either Benji Olson or Zach Piller are also possibilities. I heard Miami was interested in at least one of them if they were to be released this offseason, and they appear like they would be Miami-type O-line players.

Henry would be way better than the back ups we have right now.

Don't have a link, but I just read that Travis Henry was named the starter in Tenn.

According to a source close to the Titans, CBS SportsLine.com has learned that Travis Henry is expected to be the Tennessee's starting running back when they play vs. the Jets in Week 1 of the regular season.

that travis henry that ran for 3.8 yards a carry last year and violated the leagues substance abuse policy?

im straight with Morris.

I'm fine with Morris but having Henry, a 1000+ yrd rusher in the past, as another option in the backfield seems nice. I'd give em some of our garbage for Henry. No picks or decent players of course.

Let me guess. All you wanting Henry are the same group hoping that Vick makes the final roster, and also wanted Turdell Owens in the offseason. We dont need him, I doubt Mularky wants him, and would'nt count on us spending anything to get him....

He hasn't done anything in the past couple of years to prove that. If there are any trades, I hope they are to beef up this OL.

Now this post makes alot of sense. The only way we are gonna upgrade the RB spot is to find some guys that can block for them. I dont see Ronnie tearing up any runs, what makes you guys think that Trav-Henry or even Larry Johnson could do any better? Sammy Morris has done just fine....I wouldnt spend much time or energy "Upgrading" unless somebody really impressive fell into our laps. That doesnt happen in the NFL...(Cept maybe a banged up ProBowl Calibur QB for a second rounder:wink: )
