DT Wright seeing the light

I love this quote:

"That was my first game and I was a little bit nervous -- actually, I was really nervous -- but after the first couple of plays, I was like, `OK, practice is harder than this,'" Wright said.

What does it tell you about the Bills team. haha

OK, practice is harder than this.

That's classic

That is classic, I love it

Love this to

"They treat me with a lot of respect, they all call me by my little nickname," Wright said. "It's like ... not lovey-dovey, but it's like, you can tell I'm part of the family now."

Good to hear positive stuff about Manny

Anyone that has participated in a successful sports program understands that PRACTICE is the real game, and the so called GAME, is where they get to show off just how much they have learned and how hard they have worked in practice. It's holds true in sports, work and war.:D

Manny Wright (and all the players) ought to get their strength and conditioning coaches to get them on customized workout and diet programs. They ought to read about how the weight lifters get in shape and stay in shape and maintain low body fat percentages. They should read this ebook by Tom Venuto called "Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle":

http://www.fitren.com/reviews/burnthefatreview.shtml

It's all about doing your pre-planned, customized workout routines every day and eating your pre-planned, customized, calorie measured, 5 small meals every day ...which keeps your metabolism revved up and burns the fat all day long. It takes some discipline and dedication, but it does work. I would do it if there was big money NFL contracts on the line. I hear that a lot of NFL players are doing these special workout/diet programs.

I read in Sports Illustrated about the things that T.O. does to stay in shape. If Chris Chambers and the other players want to get as good as T.O. then they ought to do the kinds of things that T.O. does. I hear that Zach Thomas is doing a special workout/stretching/diet program. I hear he has a chef who is probably measuring calories and designing ideal customized meals for him. He probably has a personal trainer and a dietician too. I would do it too if I were a bigtime NFL player making the big bucks. Hiring these people makes it a lot easier to stay on the program. All the player has to do is eat the right stuff at the right time of day and follow the workout program that he prints out from the computer each day. It's like investing in your own small business ...it will pay dividends as the season goes on.

I dont know that anyone should care whether or not Manual Wright thinks he sees the light as much as Nick Saban thinks he sees the light.

From where I'm sitting, Wright doesnt appear to have changed from last year, or even OTAs. He's still out of shape, and still doesnt give great effort.

Apologies are not going to get it done.Showing up in shape and performing is what he needs to do.

manny needs to stay off of the dub cheez burgers w/ big mac sauce dollar menu mcdonald's joints.

successful coaches drive their teams hard during practice so the games will naturally come a little easier. that's a good sign i suppose. now if he can keep his discipline during the offseason and not eat so much, he wouldn't have to worry as much come preseason time. i understand he's still young, but if you've been given that much responsibility, you have to mature quick. he'll be a great asset for the team in the future...imho

He is giving enough effort to have lost about 30 pounds, and has been the first guy in and last guy out of the weightroom reportedly, thats enough effort for me

Go Vonnie, Go, Go! Vonnie Be Good.

Love the Vonnie quote about these young guys not wanting it enough. He's right. They SHOULD be running around practice at a higher tempo than the veterans. They sure as h**l shouldn't have to be dragged through practice.

No wonder Nick says stuff like he wants more self-motivated players who don't need leaders pushing them, and why he started yesterday's press conference by saying he felt like he worked harder than the players.

Anyways, I flamed Manatee Wright enough already. He'll sink or swim on his own now. If he succeeds in getting serious, he'll be great for us, otherwise, see ya later buddy.
