What a great chapionship game. BC played an outstanding game. Next year the ACC is going to be one heck of a division with the young kids at NC, and teams like BC, NCstate and Duke.

refs blew teh game for us.

paulus is a little *****.

i think we are going to the elite 8 this year.
 
I thought Dick Vitale was going to propose to JJ Reddick before the game ended.....talk about a Duke Homer. :wink:

No **** I wish he would not do Duke games. He use to be good but he definatly is a closet Dukie, and that is not good for someone who is suppose to be covering the game.

duke has it's own annoying punks but nothing compared to the thugs at BC.
 
Redick came up big, Paulus will be a great player he had like 5 or 6 steals. the kids good. I don't see how people say Redick doesn't play D, he isn't the best but he's takin charges, blocked some shots and has a few steals in the ACC tornument
 
People just like to get on Redick....hes not great on D but the effort it there. But his reputation was built up the last few years when he really did suck at playing defense. It took Coach K a while to convince him he needed to do more than jack up 10 threes a game in order for Duke to win games. Gotta admit though, it was always a good laugh when he switched off and tried to stay in front of Felton.

you think he's a NBA player? I think he will be a good NBA player, I want to see him attack the basket more with teams double teaming him on the arc he could use some low post baskets

He doesnt have much of an inside game. He puts the ball on the floor more to draw fouls than anything else.

As for being an NBA player....you will get people who think he will be a star and those who think he wont last his rookie contract. IMO he will get drafted in the first round, and for his sake hopefully in the latter portion. I'm sure a team like Miami or San Antonio would love to have his shooting. Its the same with most players drafted....put him in a good situation and he can flourish.....get drafted by Portland and you might as well retire and take a spot as an assistant coach at Duke.

People like to say he'll be a Steve Kerr type in the NBA but people don't realize Kerr was a 57% 3P shooter in his 1 year w/ the 3P shot while redick has never shot 41% in a full season. This year is his best year at 42% but still not great. JJ is a guy who scores alot b/c he shoots alot and b/c he goes to the line alot on phantom calls that duke typically gets. In the NBA he will not gte those calls, cannot create his own shot against bigger and more athletic players and won't be able to shoot as much. His only hope for sticking around is playing w/ a guy like Shaq that teams have to collpase on so he'll get open 3's.

Redick still has a good shot and seems to be somewhat clutch, he nailed the gamewinner vs. BC and before that made the shot that put away Miami

He has PERFECT form, as someone who was and still is a very good shooter Ia dmire his form. It's PERFECT BUT he still ony hits about 40% from 3 which is not great. Just b/c he hit 2 clutch shots yesterday does not make him clutch, you can count the # of clutch shots he has hit in 4 years on one hand and he has NEVER hit a GW shot. By the way, his NCAA Tourney stats are 37% from the field, 28% from 3 and he has 2 more TOs than assists.
