Ross needs to reach to both Dungy and Polian! That would be a perfect scenario in my opinion!

Polian supports Joe, just said Joe did a miraculous job keeping the Dolphins focused during Martingate.

I don't really get this. What other coach couldn't/wouldn't have done the same in terms of keeping the team 'together' Ask Polian what he thought of Philbins ability to get the Dolphins ready as they needed to win 1 freaking game against 2 sub par teams down the stretch. I value a coach who can handle that scenario, much more than someone who can keep a team focused after a distraction.

Why not just dig up Bill Walsh's corpse, I bet he could do a great job, too.

I was a big Joe supporter but these last two games made me have big doubts. Polian also said that he watched four Dolphin games and Ellerbe and Wheeler had great years, and that they would be even better next year. That shocked me.

I think everybody better be ready for Joe to be back. All the ex NFL player, coaches, gm, commentators I have heard support Joe coming back and I'm sure Ross is listening to what they are saying. Especially someone like Bill Polian.

"@ThaRealMatthews: Bill Polian just said Wheeler had a really good year on @SiriusXMNFL What am I missing?"» reason he's not a GM anymore

Don't be surprised if Stephen Ross's top football adviser turns out to be Jason Taylor. Just a hunch. I don't have any inside knowledge but JT is very smart, articulate, presentable, has a high football IQ, he's a bona fide Dolphin legend on the ring of honor and was recently selected by Ross to be on this special internal Dolphin committee. And to top it off he is everybody's favorite Dolphin, Zach Thomas's brother in law and buddy. If he is genuinely interested in pursuing this type of role, he could be ideal.
