Dungy says Manning will not want to play for Skins

Most of you do not remember the 70's and 80s, we had loyal fans. The stadium was packed and loud (Horrible Hanky), its been a long time since we have been relevant. Fans are "glass half empty" now, it use to be different.

WHEN we sign Manning, the Dolphins relevance in the leagues changes. They become very relevant and serious SB contender, FANS WILL COME BACK. Manning signs, 10K seasons tickets sell next day.

Seattle is very much in this. Their owner is the richest owner in the sport by a lot and they have a major need for a QB
Seattle has no talent and Pete Carroll is a proven loser. Also, lots of long road trips and brutal cold weather home games. I think that as a guy accustomed to playing in a dome, and with a long-term injury that might be nagged by cold weather, he's going to be looking someplace warmer. I do think we're the most likely to sign him.

Warm weather and no state income tax; there's a reason wealthy retirees move to south Florida!

I understand why Seattle keeps getting knocked on for location/climate by mostly South Floridians, but one thing Seattle and KC both have that we lack: loyal fans. I've been to games all over the country, and no where has better fans than Seattle. The 12th man is alive and well in the Emerald City, even if the team stinks and is well out of playoff contention. Hasselbeck was worshiped in the Pacific Northwest. Now, I can't imagine why a QB playing on turf for the majority of his career would want to play in a cool, damp climate, but I think there are many more reasons why Seattle wouldn't fit him now anyway. Lack of WRs, lack of O-line. Pete Carroll said last year that the reason they went after T-Jack is because they knew they couldn't address the O-Line in one year and they wanted a QB who could run away. Seattle's line is still being rebuilt, where the Dolphins are a RT away from being pretty solid (I'd love to see Incognito get released, too)

Yah the folks in INDY were quite loyal before Manning was selected by them

He will go where he is absolutely uncontested and the team has a good coaching staff but one that will allow him to lead as he once did in INDY - you can't change a leapard's spots at age 36

He will want to compete every year in the play offs and that means he needs a Defense that is good now but that can upgrade with a low 1st round pick - or trade for more picks on bith sides of the ball -

Money and taxes would be a lot lower on the list I mean the guy was bulding hospitals in INDY - he is obviously not worried about the dough

We are ahead of Zona, Wash, KC, and Seattle

We have a top dog WR in BM - but BM needs Manning to push him to the player he can be but isn't - BM gets away with tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much crap

Don't be too surprised if Wayne or Saturday follow Manning

We have the best LT in the game and likley Pouncey will only improve

The local interest has diminished because a great percentage of the population of south Florida is from countries where they play futbol(soccer). Of course they become fans eventually, but the fan support is not the same. Having bad to mediocre teams for the last 10 years hasn't helped. I have been a fan since the early seventies, I have lived through the changes.
Plus, the Joe Robbie stadium takes the 12th man out of the mix by design. The seats are too far away from the action...the reason? To accommodate futbol and baseball. Every fan needs a megaphone to be heard.

The best WR in Seattle is Sidney Rice, if healthy, then Doug Baldwin who really played well as a rookie. Add in a great running game, solid defense, and Seattle really is just a QB away.

Rice? Guy hasn't been healthy in 3 yrs. Baldwin is an unknown.

What are the 4 things a QB really asks for in a team?

1) solid Left Tackle - Check
2) Top ten WR - Check
3) good running game - Check
4) Legit Defense - Check

Other than SF, I don't see any other team thats more appealing right now.

Some have said the fact that Brady is in our division is a negative, I see it as a positive. Manning wants so bad to beat Brady twice a year. We all know PM's little Bro has Brady's number.

I can't see him landing in SEA to be honest. The climate there just isn't going to be helpful to his injury issues. Cold and damp and much worse than dry and snowy. Arizona the Skins and Jets are our biggest competition. KC to me is a place that players don't really go to to win anything, it's like a retirement home or a place players want to prvoe themselves before moving on to a contender.
The Jets may not be ready to totally ditch Sanchez, it would be a big admission of failure on Ryan's part and he's not big on that sort of thing. They are more likely to add competition for him than replacing him completely. The skins have a history of being aggressive in FA and have a pressing need for a upgrade at QB, so they are gonna be tough to out bid, they've also got a history that will appeal to Peyton, we just got to hope the thought of being in the same division as his brother puts him off enough plump against them. Arizona, have the climate, the domed stadium, probably the best WR in the NFL, have been to a SB in recent memory. And check a lot of the boxes for Peyton. They've been a team though on decline for a few years now, have spent a lot last year on Kolb (are they really ready to give up on him) and don't have many other star names outside Fitz.

From our point of view, to Manning a lot of his needs are met in what we can offer, we've got the weather, an elite wideout, elite LT, good running game with an elite RB. Are D will keep him in games. We don't have the dome he's played in his whole pro career, we are in a tough division where he'll have to play another future HOF QB twice a year and a lot of outdoor cold weather desitinations like Buffalo, NJ and Boston.
