I've seen a lot about Tony Dungy's book in the media lately and just received a copy this weekend. I've really enjoyed the read thus far. It's much better written than most sports biographies, which are usually dumbed-down affairs. It's not a difficult read at all, just well written. He talks a lot about his faith in the book and while overt talk about faith sometimes makes me cringe, this book I can deal with because it truly is what this man is all about. He truly lives what he preaches and I respect him for it. It also discusses more about his days in Tampa than Indy, which I also found interesting. He has a sister who is a doctor, a brother who is a dentist, and another sister who is a nurse. He's been married to his wife for 25 years and she doesn't look a day past 40. Beautiful woman.
I just read that Cam was handing out the book at a recent youth coaches clinic and I can see why. This would be a great read for any youth coach because it shows that you don't have to yell and scream and be a complete tool to get your players to perform at a high level.
