In measurements of footspeed, strength, and leaping ability, Durant rated last among all who attended the combine......78 players total.

How many of those rated ahead of him ever had 35 plus points and 20 plus rebounds against a team from a top conference? He is also probably the youngest guy there. This means nothing.

PTI said he couldnt bench 185 lbs one time

Yeah I know, that made me chuckle. Even Joakim Noah did 13 reps.

Durant is still a good player, he just needs to bulk up alittle.

That was probably the first time he's ever touched a bar. I'd actually be excited to see what kind of athlete he can become once on a pro workout regime. He's still just a kid.

Even I benched 225 in my prime. I was never that strong in the upper body. I had powerful arms but my bench was never flashy

Someone had this comment to the espn article over on thier comments section, and I thought it was gold:

Bristol, CT (AP) - According to sources, ESPN will be put on the 15-day DL due to a hyper-extended elbow. The injury occurred during a sensationalist reach made by the World Wide Leader when it said Kevin Durant's performance at the NBA combine will affect his draft position. "

I have never been the type to workout with weights really. The most I ever benched was 180 in 10th grade(2 reps), and that was on a nautical(I weighed 200-210 at the time, I weigh 185 now). I can go out and play basketball like all day, but I imagine I would do terrible in the bench. Now the other drills are another story. I really can't fathom how he ranked as the 78th athlete out of 80, just because his bench was bad. His other numbers seemed reasonable after all.

His other numbers were not really bad, But they were not good and the fast that Oden did some drills faster than him is what is shocking to me. His length is freaky tho

Well really in the NBA, I don't care as much about measurables. I can look at what he did on the court against top competition as a FRESHMAN, lol. I believe he'll fill out fine with time.

Yeah he will and put up a heck of alot of points while he does that. His length will make him an ok defender also

According to Durants agent he has not hired a trainer and has not been training lately while others have prepared for this. He has been busy doing other things.

I guess that may have some to do with it. However he is still going to Seattle unless someone makes them a very nice trade.

combine results= non factor... durant at number 2, like said before, he will bulk up in time.
