DVP > Jennings. Its time. Also, Wake is done.

Wouldnt have mattered yesterday due to the O-line, but its time to let him play full time. He got most of his snaps in garbage time. Jarvis, Rishard, and DVP should be your primary 3, no excuses. Jennings should be in coach mode for the rest of the season/be available for injuries. DVP is at a point where he still needs work but should be learning in game since hes healthy. Deal with any growing pains that arise. He has enough talent to still be productive in the process. He had more catches and yards in his few targets yesterday than Jennings does all season. Yet watch the staff limit his snaps still.

Wake is done. Hes washed. Stick a fork in him. You could see it last year. Age has caught up. Yet another hole to fill.

Phillips needs to be playing next to Suh atleast 50% of the snaps. Kid has legit potential to be a force and you have him inactive? idiotic.

Vigil needs to be starting. Period. Deal with the growing pains. Shepard is beyond bad.

Oline needs to be addressed yesterday. Sign Satele, hes garbage but better than our guards. Seek a trade somewhere, do SOMETHING! Try Sam Brenner, give Turner a series, sign some FA's, poach other teams PS.. whatever. RT can win if he has protection.

J gray needs to take a bulk of the snaps. Averaged 5 yards a carry. Start the game with him being physical to SET THE TONE and then sprinkle Lamar in.

Brice McCain needs to be in the slot, or off the field. Id rather take Jamar's penalties, he will at least try to tackle and be physical and press.

So frustrating that we wait and wait and wait for the season, just to see this mess.

Trade Wake and Jennings as a package deal for a mediocre guard or cb, surely they would be better than D. Thomas/Douglas or B McCain.

I wouldnt even mind a legit trade and give up a 3/4th rounder for a lineman. We can get creative and get the pick back somehow before next years draft.
 
Yeah we need to get Douglas and Thomas off the field ASAP or our offense has no shot to b successful. I'd try Brenner/Turner or the Journeymen we have in Linkenbach and McClendon at the guard spots next week.
 
Is Wake still injured. I didn't get to see the whole game but, during the little bit I did get to see, I noticed he would line up in a half assed 3 point stance. He's usually a low set 4 stance guy. He was also slow off the line. Didn't look like the Wake I'm used to seeing.

Agree on almost all points. Philbin acts like there are no answers with this team, but there are plenty of solutions he can try, there's talent on the sidelines just sitting there during crucial parts of the game.. and mistakes sitting out there on the field.

Take a good hard look at last season, he wasnt very productive. He would grab a meaningless freebie sack here and there, but completely dissappears for long stretches or when the game matters. hes done. Havent been able to count on him to bring pressure on 3rd down consistently since 2012/13. Not mad at the guy, just his age finally caught him.
 
I like what you are saying, but as long as Philbin remains coach & Coyle DC NOTHING is fixing this team.

Oh & Lazor had a decent future ahead of him, unless he gets his head out of his ass it will stay in past tense

yup. he needs to go. hes not stupid, but hes stubborn. Hes not in tune with today's NFL. We will be 1-4 before he tries to shake the oline up, but even then it will be a garbage plan and be too late. Another season down the drain. Go out and trade for a starter. I dont care if we have to give up a pick or player.

Yea Lazor is a question mark for me. He seems like he has his head on straight and I think he could succeed with a line, buttt the coaches and FO decline to fix the line and it forces Lazor to questionable play calling. who knows.
 
Jennings is getting open. Jennings is being where he's supposed to be. Jennings is simply failing to catch the football.

You can't blame Jennings for this offense's lack of production, but the truth is that when he's dropped so many balls on so few opportunities, it's time to give Parker a shot. :(
 
Thats what Im saying, his drops arent helping. Him being a starter isnt going to win us games. Parker is the one with a future here who hopefully can become that big alpha wr defenses are afraid of and gameplan against. Him catching balls on the outside will relieve pressure on Jarvis. Give him his snaps. I respect Jennings but bottom line, in this situation, invest in and play the youth.
 
Yeah, there are a lot of moves we can make within the roster to improve now and build to the future. But it's all pretty irrelevant with this coaching staff. I want DVP to see the bulk of snaps but I don't think it makes us better to shut down Jennings. Wake may be fighting through injury and frankly we have no alternatives. Also Vernon has played worse and he doesn't have the excuse of age. All these issues are secondary to the fact we have the worst coaching staff in football.
 
Wake is nursing a Hammy, which in his case is problematic. If he doesn't have his speed and burst, he's just an undersized DE. Need him to get healthy, hhe'll be fine.

I still believe coaching has something to do with it... He wasn't that bad with the Vikings last year. They are using a High School playbook for grown ass men!!!
