Just released by the Broncos. Should the Fins make a run at him given the injury issues on the OL?

He was out last season due to a car accident and the Broncs replaced him with younger guys but he is reportedly completely healed and has played at OG and OT as well as at tight end.

Clearly his career is winding down but I think he's an interesting prospect for a year or two.

Isnt he small compared to our offensive line size and the typical Houck Guard ( I know beggars cant be choosey but I see them picking out a guy Houck wants only).

noup.....i think we are fine.....well almost fine

Carswell had a nice career and he is a very likeable guy in Denver, but I think his career is over.

I don't believe he is the type of lineman we're looking for.

No too old and not enough experince. We are already trying to train a few guys and they are young and will be around for awhile

Hes a former TE, if had enough power to stalemate a 350lb NT he would make a very serviceable center. That would enable the moving of Hadnot back to OG(where hes best suited).

Strictly a 1-2 year stopgap.

If we got him, it wouldnt be as an O-linemen, it would be as a blocking TE. I think it might be worthwhile looking into him for that.
