Saw on espn news that Dwight Smith is likely to get release. I think we need a veteran safety. Dolphins should get him.

Don't know if he will fit but im sure he would be asking for alot of money. He did pretty good with the saints last year.

What'd he do?

He's too good (and young) to be released outright like that. I'd give him a shot.

Why does it appear that everytime somebody gets released we act like we should go after him.

Well, he's a CB/FS who excels in zone coverage.

We've got alot of those, but Saban seems to really prefer those.

Well, for the right price..why not.:cooldude:

If he's worth a look, Nick will take one.

Right on.

Anyway, Wow. He's only 27! Definitely worth a look, I'm pretty sure he was a starter on the Bucs SB team.

You can guarantee Saban and Randy are on this.

He has not lived up to the big contract he signed after the Super Bowl.
Dwight Smith is a system player and I think he'll either go back to Tampa Bay or to Detroit, whom I think signed one of Tampa Bay's defensive coaches.

Dwight was the nickel back. Dexter Jackson was the starting safety opposite Lynch.
