I know this isn't much, but E. Skolnick is one of the local Phinz news reporters / writers for the Sun-Sentinel. If anyone has some inside information regarding the ongoing questions surrouding Culpepper, he probably would....

-- Hearing more rumblings of late that the Dolphins aren't comfortable with Daunte Culpepper.

I'm going to take this with a grain of salt until I hear / read something more official from Cam / Mueller, but it's certainly news....

id be careful theres a love fest with DC going on right now in another thread, there not going to like this. beware my friend your entering troubled waters

It's just "news" in regards to Culpepper. I would think that any news these days would be appreciated....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I told you guys all last year, a million times. Daunte will not be back in football ever! He is done! Finished! He is incapable of learing the x's and O's of the NFL>

The only people comfortable with Culpepper are the Fans, cause they heard Cam say in a press conference that the guys was working hard. My opinion is that if Cam and Mueller were comfortable with Culpepper they would be no Trent Green rumors, no Brady Quinn at nine, no Daunte to Detroit to move up and no Schaub to Miami rumors. Miami QB situation is a mess, that is the main reason why Stallworth dint sign with us. Our offseason program is nearing and can you imagine what it would be if Culpepper is still rehabilatating while our players are on the field. As of today our QBs are Lemon and Gibran Hamdan, im sorry but the more I look at it and the more I study it, I understand Muellers and Cam ill feeling towards Culpepper.

In todays NFL Cameron does not have the time to wait for Cpep to heal. For example if we keep Cpep this year and we start him and he plays four games and reinjures his knee their goes our season. If Cpep isnt ready for the season, he is gone. If he starts and struggles, he is gone.If he gets hurt, he is gone. Why not trade him for whatever we can get or cut him. Instead of wasting a year with our New Coach with a QB that will be average at best. Remember David Boston? Well to me Cpep is Boston 2.0. If Daunte is cut, I wouldnt be shocked. I would feel more comfortable with Green,Lemon and Rookie. Then Daunte,Lemon and Rookie.

It's not so much Skolnick or anyone else that's shaped my thinking on how the Fins feel about Culpepper. There was a certain "weirdness" in how Wanny handled the Marino thing, and even WH to an extent. I just got the feeling they were trying to do something that might prove unpopular without actually doing anything--until the situation resolved itself.

Same situation here, same weird perceived "vibe" from the FO towards both with Dante and Ricky, IMO. Cam knows if he rights this ship this could be the last job he'll ever need. Same with Mueller. Why should they go down the drain because of any player they don't have 100% confidence in, for whatever reason?

There are very few players I could be accused of "hating", and I certainly bear no ill will against DC or RW. My gut feeling (for whatever that may be worth) is that Cam and Mueller quietly refuse to hitch their wagons to this pair.

Prediction? Dante gets cut and Ricky gets traded, in RW's case maybe sooner and maybe later. I appreciate both of them for what they contributed to the Fins. But I think Cam & Mueller have the wink-wink nod-nod green-light from WH to do whatever they have to to put the Fins in the SB by the next time we host it, and I think they will take full advantage of that fact with players that make them uneasy--regardless of the reason.

very well said, i think you covered it perfectly.

Don't you think if Cam & Randy were sure he was going to be here, or 100% they would have made that point clear to D. Stallworth?? Stallworth said his main reason for not signing here was our uncertainty at the Q Back position. I'm sure that point was raised in their negotiations and for some reason Stallworth and his agent were not satisfied with the answer. If Cam and Randy were confident in C-Pep returning to form in 07, don't you think it would have been a non issue in Stallworth's decision. Either he didn't like their answer or they were not very convincing. READ BETWEEN THE LINES!!! We will, at the least, add another Q Back to the roster in 07. Wether it's a FA or a top draft pick.

Do the Eagles have time to wait for McNabb to heal, obviously since they let Garcia go and kept Feeley?? I see the Begals waited for Palmer to heal...good thing huh?? How about the Steelers and Big Ben?? How many Times has Pennington been injured?? Why is it Culpepper is the only player in the NFL that shouldn't be allowed to heal??

If we keep Daunte he will be loved until the season starts and he throws his first two picks back to back.
