He is going senile for sure, this week he had no idea the Houston Texans existed and was convinced his partner made a mistake and meant the cowboys. PLEASE STOP ANNOUNCING, GRIESE!

I think it's funny that the original poster is attacking Bob Griese for allegedly making mistakes, when he refers to Bob Griese as "Brian Griese".
 
Anyone else catch it when Griese referred to Dan Connor as "another LB that came out of The U" ? haha... I had to rewind it to make sure that's what he said. I was uhhhh, no.. Penn St. buddy. I bet you he was thinkin of Dan Morgan.
 
I give Griese a lot of slack because he was a hero of mine as a boy, I had his poster along with Csonka's on my wall.
He's the only QB in Dolphin history to win Superbowls(2), and he was a hall of famer.

The biggest thing about Griese that most don't even know was that unlike the modern QB's(including Marino), or even most of the QB's of his day, was that he called his own plays, they were not sent in from the bench. He not only had to execute the plays, he had to play the role of the OC today and playcall.

I'm not sure why with obvious intelligence he had as a QB, that he makes the mental mistakes he does as an announcer....but I have to much respect for him to rag him about it.
 
Griese does a lot of the Broncos game here with Dave Logan. He's not as bad as guys like Baldinger and Randy Cross. But he does make some mistakes, just like his daddy. I actually have a Brian Griese #14 Phin's jersey in my closet.

ACTUALLY THIS POST SUCKS because there is nothing wrong with Brian Griese as a commentator!

Sorry dude, Griese's terrible. It's almost as hard to listen to him as it is to listen to Michael Irvin on the radio, except Irvin offers more valuable analytical insight. Griese seems downright clueless. My reaction to hearing he would be in the booth was..."awwww d@mn!"
 
There's a football game going on & we need information ... meanwhile he's telling long-winded stories & chit-chatting crapola.

The durn owner came on & they cancelled the broadcast & had a bullshoot session.

Whatever man, I'm just saying he was too big of a hero of mine as a kid to rag him about something as meaningless as announcing a game.

I could be mistaken but I believe I once read that Marino called his own plays as a rookie or in his second year.
