Eagles Make Minimal Offer For Gordon

Problem is that the Eagles are probably only offering a 7th.
So what, take it and stock up on any type of picks and see if you find a gem in any round or you can use it to move up later in the draft or whatever, better than sitting pretty on the bench then being cut.

Remember Williams sits for the first 4 games, aside from Ronnie who get the bulk of the carries at the RB position?

Are you comfortable with Minor/Morris?

Other thing.
Wanna take bets on Fragile Fred getting hurt and Jacksonville asking about Gordon/Morris/Minor?

Yes. Morris ran well Saturday, Gordon not so. I'd take Morris over Gordon any day based on the preseason.

Also, Morris has been doing good things on special teams, so his value to this team is like 10x that of Gordon.

i say we try and get a 6th if we get a 7th it just shows how low Philly can go by screwing us twice in 2 offseasons.

Id take it. The only reason Lamar makes the roster is because Ricky needs to serve 4 games. Seriously, Lamar is the 5th string RB behind Brown, Williams, Morris and maybe even Minor.

Philly SHOULD lowball us. Do you people actually think they will offer up a 3rd for a guy who is most likely to even be cut? Heck, a 7th is better than just cutting him...... although it might be the last pick in the draft next year.

The Eagles are a very smart orginization, they aren't going to go out and do anything stupid like trade a 2nd rounder for a mediocre back who apparently has "talent". They dont want to give up too much, they only need this guy to come in and be a good power runner for short yardage situations and get some carries when Westbrook is tired or they are up big and want to run down clock. If they cant get Gordon for the right price, they'll go after someone else. If we are going to dump him on the Eagles, i'd take whatever we can get.....

We can hope TO ruins the team!!!

You don't want to take the first offer. Wait a little bit, bluff a bit and say some other team is offering the same round (but since they are a team that is not as good as philly it would be earlier) then see if they will pony up one more round. Take what you can get, but don't jump at a bad offer.

I agree with the last post. Let's not jump at the first offer just to get rid of him. He is only 25 has good size and is learning his third offensive system in two years. Let's hold on to him and wait to see what happens to other teams such as Pitt, who already have Staley hurt, Bettis hurt and have Parker starting. We are blessed with depth at RB, with Ricky out for 4 games he is our fourth RB. That's not a bad place to be. If some other team has trouble in the first five games, like we did last year. We may be able to exploit our position for once. Why take a 7th rd pikc from a team that may win the Superbowl. Yeah, let's take Mr. Irrelevant. That would be stupid and something I would of expected from our Gm last year. Meuller is one of the best in the business. If all else fails we cut him after the fifth week. Who cares that we didn't get a the 7th rd 32 pick, #255 overall? That player wouldn't make the team either. Let's wait to see if we get lucky and some other teams get unlucky.

trade him for a Philly cheesesteak. From what I've seen this preseason he holds no value to this team. Take whatever you can get and move on.

If they play around, they are going to cut him and get nothing.

patience my boy, what do you think Saban is an idiot?
