Eagles may add running back

Um...unless the Eagles got dumb over the summer that ain't gonna happen.

I'd count ourselves lucky if we got a 4th for Gordon. Gordon is the only runner on our roster I would see getting traded. Saban knows the value that Sammy Morris has. Unless someone knocks our socks off with an offer for him I would'nt let him go.

Ricky ain't going anywhere. I don't know what the rush is to trade the guy. He has a cap friendly deal. He has more value to us then he would ever return in a trade.

He's also a top 10 runner when he is focused and motivated.

Whats wrong with having some depth for once?

Do you think we could get a 3rd? or is that pushing it?

Cmon people... we need draft picks!!!....

Yes we need draft picks.

That being said you do not undervalue your own players in order to get them. You also don't get rid of guys just for the sake of stockpiling picks.

Remember, we still have to play a season. If we went by all the recomendations I've seen over the last week on this board our 53 man roster would consist of 52 Q.B.'s and Wes Welker...BUT we'd have a ton of draft picks....

Let's get our feet back on the ground here.

I'm all for trading Gordon. If we get a 4th for the guy I'd take it in a second.

I'm all for trading Thompson. If we got a bag of footballs for the guy I'd take it in a second.

I'm NOT for trading Sammy Morris. The guy is our #3 runner, #3 fullback, stellar on special teams and he can make plays when he is needed. The ONLY way I let Morris out of here is if someone offers a 3rd rounder for him.

I'm also NOT for trading Ricky. We have a great 1-2 punch at ruinning back. Considering how much we are gonna have to run the ball this year it would be idiotic to ship him out. We'd NEVER get value in return.

Again...I ask the "trade Ricky now" crowd...tell me what is wrong with actually having some depth for once? You all saw what can happen last year when the injury bug hits the running back spot. We had Leonard freaking Henry as our starter!

WE DON'T NEED RICKY! we don't need anybody with his history of letting his own team down for drugs on our team. we still have Gordon and Morris even if we trade him plus Minor is a really good change of pace back

We had three guys get injured and a retirement before we got to Henry. When that happens, well, you're just up a certain creek we all know of without a paddle. Henry actually did have our first breakaway run, although it was after a few pedestrain 2.0 ypc games........not that it was any worse than any of our runners at that time, even Gordon.

we need draft picks more then we need a back-up RB, we have enough of them

Ricky's going to be here so, whether or not we NEED him is meaningless. The coach wants him here and he wants to be here so some of us are just going to have to get over it.

I also highly doubt that the Eagles give the Fins anything higher than a 6th rounder. They'll probably just sit and wait to see who gets cut.

The only person that would give a 3rd for Gordon is Spielman....he is unemployed...partly because he gave up a 3rd round pick for Gordon.
I take it i was pushing it :D

i would be ASTONISHED if lamar gordon goes for anything more than a 5th round pick. i dont think there is a single team in this league that would give us a 4th for gordon, not a single one

i could see the eagles giving us a 4th for lamar gordon AND derrius thompson...and thats if we're lucky. and THATS being realistic

Im fine with trading Gordon and possibly Thompson if its for a deasant olineman. Realistically were keeping what we got unless they give us a fourth or fifth for him. Which yeah a fifth is low but thats better than having him and just releasing him next year. Hes def behind brown, williams and morris.

No, we dont. He can be useful and we should take advantage of his talents while he is here, but we don't "need" him.

Last years record without him
year before with him I say we need him!

I'd give them back Feeley for a half-eaten bag of Doritos, personally. Hell, for an unopened bag of Doritos they could get Gordon, Feeley, Lee, Thompson, Whitley and McKinney.
